Flowering plant starting to curl leaves under.

My pineapple express auto has been growing now for 6 weeks and started budding about a week and a half ago. She was doing well under 2 45 watt bulbs but started getting a bit tall for all the lighting to work. I put together my 400 watt hps system 2 days ago and had to quickly set it to 50% dimming because the temp shot up into the 90's. Right now I can get the temps to stabilize at 86 even with 2 intake fans and an exhaust.

Pineapple started showing a little bit of droopiness yesterday and now today it doesn't seem to be getting much better. She's in a 5 gallon pot with manna mix organic soil and has been watered until run off just about a day and a half ago. No Nutes were added to the watering due to nute burn from the previous watering. The plants stay in a grow tent and recieve light 24 hours. They are fed with purified water at about 6.2 ph.

I am simply seeking the reasoning to my flowering plants behavior. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what are you growing in? I know if you are growing with coco coir they will use a lot of water. I think the same thing they are thirsty! but i'm a noob so what do i know

Thanks for the responses guys. I am pretty sure she just needed to be watered. I'm not used to watering so much, they were only needing it every 3 days... Not no mo!

I agree with the pale light green, so a bit of N would work wonders Im sure, a bit of Mg would also be wise to add Im sure

and yes might look thirsty, but could also look over watered (lack of oxygen in the medium) can easily happen if you as you did experience high temperatures so you need to water more often and maybe over do it ? just a suggestion tho, how is the pot to lift ? do they feel very light after just two days ?

and I also (thanks God I have LEDs now) experience high summer temperatures, with 82-86F but seem`s to do ok for now, just try to keep it under the 90 and you should be ok

Do not allow the soil to dry all the way , maybe an inch down or so but never more so than this . Once you allow it to dry out you are starving the plant of water and nutrients . As well the nute burn I do not see , yes some tips are yellow but that could also be due to the excessive dryness and heat your subjecting the soil and plant too . With a quality organic mix as your using it is crucial to keep it moist as drought will kill off the beneficial microbes .

Excessive heat is a bitch and it will do no good to allow the plant to be subjected to a regular high temp as mentioned as this simply spells disaster .

I agree with Slipon. Because you are in the Manna Mix, which is a coco coir/fiber blend with food in it. You have probably used up all of the food in the media during the first month or so. So, you will need to kick up your food a bit (especially a cal-mag supplement). You should try to not water it unless the coco is on the drier side (or the pot is light in weight). I think you are over watering it because of the fact that it has been hot, you are growing in coco (with has a higher air to water ratio than most other media options), but mostly because your plant has a much larger root system so it has a greater demand for water/food.

Give it at least a day between waterings. If you are watering less than 3-4 times a week, then you are not watering appropriately, and your plant can be growing faster and bigger. If you are watering more than this (everyday), then you should be putting occasional flushes in the cycle

Increase your usage of a Cal-Mag supplement due to the fact that coco fiber/coir becomes more calcium hungry than a peat or soil blend. Good luck with the auto flowering strains, they can be a lot of fun!!

If you're using "purified" water that will require Cal-Mag supplements. What are your PPM's of your water? Mine are about 9-14 in my RO water so I had the same issue until I started using Cal-Mag (and also use dolomite in my soil now).

This is awesome! This makes a lot of sense man, thank you. I will start watering more frequently.

And, although it makes sense, I am still a huge noob and don't know much on nutrients, except I bought the wrong 7-9-5 mix a while back... And even then, it's nitrogen, phosphate, and potash. Doesn't sound right... I hate asking people to hold my hand but you all are very knowledgable and willing to give assistance which is amazing.

What do I need to buy, what is a good mixture for Nutes? And it seems that I only have test strips for spas which might not be the best way to monitor the soil the way I need to?
