Hey how are you..i need help right now!!! I have 16 plants about 1 month into flowering.... they are under 2000 watts hps air cooled in a 6 by 4 tent with intake and exhaust.... I am watering them about every 3 days with botanicare nutrients...bloom,calmag,karma,silica blast, and some flavor stuff. About half of my plants are turning completely yellow, almost like bananas, and the tips of alot of the leaves are burning... Is this a deficiency or is it nute burn? I though it was mg def. so i started foilar feeding with epsom salt but no results. So please help and tell me what i can do.. Right now they are lights off, so when the lights go on in a few hours i will; post pics.. Oh yeh they are 12 trainwreck,2 white widow,2 skunk #1....also the buds do not look full and compact like they should under 2000 watts. Maybe its just a slow growing strain? Any help please!!!!:joint:kiss-ass

First, flush! If ya did/do that, and still have the problem persisting: Try adding 1/4 dosage of yer veg nutes to the mix. This will add a touch of Nit and help ya out, if it is a def.

here are the pics i promised...any ideas on whats going wrong?
From the pics you just posted they do not look yellow. If they would have been yellow we could diagnose your plants as lacking N. But the opposite is actually what is going on. They have nute burn. What is your ph? You are feeding alot of stuff to your plants and some of it is not needed. They need to be flushed real soon and then start back feeding them their basic npk food just to get them recovered.

Once they look like they are bouncing back design a different water/feed schedule. One that lets the plants talk to you about what they need. a schedule similar to this is always safe: plain water/plain water/food water. Basically they get more water than they do food. Hope this helps you out. LUCK

Just go with the bloom food for now. It will have enough of what they need until they begin to turn around. After the soil gets dry feed and water them a 1/2 dose of the bloom. Luck and hope this all turns around for ya.

ok i will do that...also im kinda con cerned now after reading a couple threads on flushing... my plants are in 5 gal grow bags...and I normally water them with about 1/4th of a gallon every 3 days each... When i flushed them i used about a gallon and a half which i thought was enough, but now reading, some people say u need to flush with double the amount of water to soil, so I should of used 10 gal of water per plant!!!??? can u tell me if i did it right or if i need to go back and flush again.

Are you in 5 gallon grow bags, or 5 individual gallon grow bags?

Second off if you use hydro nutes in dirt or soiless you need to water till you get at least 20% runnoff.

It looks like to me that you are feeding too heavy on the nutes. Back off completely and do a flush. If they start to do well then you have found your problem.

I feel more than likely it is your PH that is fucked. If you are using a color match ph kit that could be the problem. If ph is off even .5 it can adversely affect your garden.

Think about actually getting an electronic ph test meter to zero in on the perfect ph for your girls.

Also when you test for ph you need to test the first 15 seconds of water runnoff/drippage. This is the water that will indicate the ph of the medium.

But for now FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH. If prob persist then come back and post. Make sure you flush with properly PH'd water.

Hey, I have 16 plants each in individual 5 gallon grow bags. So when I flush how many gallons of water do I use per bag? I am in a botanicare soilless mix. I need a ph meter and a ppm meter real bad, but they are so expensive for a good one. I use a water conditioner, in my tap water which helps with lock out of certain nutrients and what not. tell me how to properly flush my plants... i thought i flushed them a couple days ago... i pured about a gallon and a half in each one with some a tbs of clearex flushing solution in each. tell me if thats right or if i n eed much more water per site. thanks

Ok, sorry it took so long for me to get back to you.

You need to flush with at least 4-5 gals of water per pot. To give you a better idea, you need to flush until you have runnoff that amounts to half the volume of your pots.

So, if you have 5 gal pots you need like 2-3 gals of runnoff water in order to sufficiently flush.

Use the clearex again.

Also, is your soil lime buffered?

Read this pretty comprehensive guide on flushing and PH issues.

Here

I always get people asking me about ph problems.

This is a pretty good shot.

Like i said do you have a buffered soil. i.e. lime?

If you do maybe all the buffer has leeched out through repeated waterings.

i gota question... i had 16 plants about 6 weeks into flowering and my dumb buddy or owneed half the garden took his half early, so now i have only 9 plants under 2000 watts. if i move them all closer to the light since i have more room, will my yield increase in only the 2 or 3 weeks left? also my buds all still look a little tiny for being under 2000 watts hps, do u think in 3 weeks they will bulk up alot?

nononono that pic was from like 2 weeks flowering, they are currently at 6 weeks and there alot bigger but the buds arent full and big..is there a time near the end of flowering where they just blow up? because i sure dont see too much bud for being under 2000 watts of air cooled hps lights...

to answer ur question, YES, they do fatten up towards the last 2 weeks of flower, u will not be able to tell by the eye if the buds are done, u will need to go to radioshack and get a 13$ scope 30-100x scope. its cheap and works great, u are looking more towards 40/60 amber trichomes. really it just sounds like u were having a nitrogen def. thats common when flowering, but not if there is alot going on. add some nitrogen and u will be fine, if the problem proceeds, its because u have burned them with excess nutes. put the plants as close to the lite as possible, but make sure u are checking temps at the TOP OF THE CANOPY so its not too hot, u are looking to keep it at 85 degrees F max.
