flowering stage questions

hi, so my plant is in its 7th week of flowering and i still have alot of white hairs,dont know what the triclomes look like because i dont have a magnifier to tell. but i was wondering if not having the fan on 24 hours straight will effect the plant.all of the wires are pluged into a connector with a timer so when the lights turn on then thats when the fan turns on. also i have been watering every 2 days and when i do water i use humboldt bloom nutes. should i continue using them or when should i stop giving nutes to my plant?? and i heard that some people put there plants in 24 hour darkness within the last week of flowering??any help would be great. thanks

Light cycle and type of light please.

Go to staples and get a magnifier. I wouldn't worry about turning the lights off if developement is good. If its not broke don't fix it, but pictures say a thousand words.

I would think that the fans should be on constantely, plants need constant air circulation seems that 12 hrs no fan is pushing it a bit.......Good Luck

How would feel Your self in a room that gets fresh air for 12 hours and 12 hours not ? Same for the plants.
Preventing air exchange is also a risk for Your crop. Open invitation to mold and bug problems.

I have my exaust and inlet fan on 24 hrs a day from about week 6 of flowering,but i do turn the ossalating fans off just for noise really think about it the wind does not stop in the fall[autum] so i cant see this hurting the plants at all.just may make the room smell that bit more through the air been pushed around the room.flower till the pistols turn coulour 80% then this is a sign there done i have done away with the microscope you just know when there done but if there fem seeds dont push them too far or they may turn and produce seeds.if there clones of a 100% female let them run for 10 week...you will be amazed at how much they swell in weeks 7/8/9 then flush

Good question OP. I was wondering the same thing myself. What about running extractors with a passive air intake only and a fan circulating air in the room? Extractors in closets on, fans in closets off, fan in room on?

I still check trichs with a microscope but I can almost tell when to harvest without, but just watching the flowers for growth. When they don't seem to be getting any bigger, and the plants seem to have stopped taking up water, they're ready.

How hard can it be getting a fan plugged in somewhere other than your timer?

I used to flower under CFL's so....if you're going to stay with CFL's, use a mix (to get a fuller spectrum) at a 3:1 ratio of 2700K and 6500K bulbs.
Veg would be the other way around.

But I would really recommend getting a HPS for flower.

Yea id like to see a pic as well. I am flowering under cfls as well, how tall is ur plant?

In the past I've combined pH water only feed with the 24-hour darkness in the last week of flowering. A form of flushing/darkness to make the plant(s) resort to increasing resin production in the buds. I think the logic is that the plants go into defensive mode to protect it's fruit by becoming stickier during this flush/dark period. Are you using any additives during the last couple weeks of flowering?
