flowering take how long?

im 2 days into 10 on and 14 hours no light when will i notice weather its a female or male?

If you want to flower your plant, the lights must be on for 12 hours and then off for 12 hours. Once you start this cycle, it will take a few weeks before you can determine the sex. It will take at least 2 months of the 12/12 cycle before it is ready to harvest.

i could tell the sex within the first week of 12/12 after a month veg though

Not sure if this is entirely true. The plant can have anything under 12 hours of light to flower it doesnt have to have exactly 12/12. Sometimes Outdoor grows get less than 6 hours light a day. Peace

fall hours are only 12/12 for a day or so then it gets to be 11:59/12:01, 11:58/12:02, 11:57/12:03......

I never said anything other than 12/12 wouldn't work. Where in my post did i use the word "exactly"? 12/12 is the standard indoor flowering light cycle, so are you saying i gave him misinformation?

Edit: Besides, why would you want to give your plant less light. That would only produce a low yield.

well my plants look very healthy and im into the 3rd day of flowering havnt noticed to much besides they are growing 2 fan leaf a day couple inches bigger than an average size computer mouse plus ther all 9 on each leaf its lookin good

12/12 is correct light cycle for indoor flowering and sex should show within a week to 10 days of 12/12 light

theres already pre flowers and im only on the 4th day of flowering but im not 100% sure im like 70% sure right now haha so im thinkin a couple more days..

Ok changed the timer back to 12/12.
I went from 18/6 for 3 1/2 weeks of veg and once they got to 12" I switched to 13/11. It took 7 ds to determine the sex for my 1st grow with the help of the preflower pics in growfaq.

wouldnt co2 speed this process up??

it may only get 5 or 6 hours of direct sunlight outside but its still getting good 7 hours of indirect sunlight and the sun is powerful and i know this is old im just trying to get my posts and credentials up!

o and fck sativa or indica its all about hybrids and if your outdoors i recommend autoflower strain it will flower even if its mid summer getting 15 to 16 hours of sunlight so many many many more harvests..peace!

I could tell after a week. Look for white hairs coming out from the top of the main shoots or in-between where the branches meet.
