run o2 pump outside, roots like fresh o2. Co2 to the roots will suffocate the plant.

For the most part it's pretty easy to work with, if your worried about salt build up, run H&g Drip Clean

Sorry... I've never used added co2 in my flower room.
I have read to place air pumps outside the room if using supplemental co2.

I just started supernatural aqua grow and it work super with my ucdwc! it has high in N got my girls nice green color and bushy. has any one try supernatural aqua bloom? I was reading it and it say use it once a week. i notice it has really high N also. Please advise.

When are you going to flower? Looks like they have some stretching to do. You will need to raise your lights, and maybe do some trimming off the bottom.

this strain sucks! Its call purple gorilla. The buds are big but dries really light! I always gets banners and start seeding. No light leak! Im chopping it down and start with something new.

Took 8 cuttings today, 2 Jack Frost, 3 Sour-D Pheno #1 & 3 Sour-D Pheno #2.
Trying out the STG Tornado inserts this time around.
The totes are filled with 40+ gallons of SuperNatural Superboost @ 230ppm & 5.6Ph.
After cutting I dip in Supernatural Root burst powder, slip 4 hail cubes (with a hole poked through the middle) around the base of the cutting then dip back in the rooing powder than straight into the STG insert, I add a few cubes around to fill in voids then cut the tips off the fan leaves.

I put together a reflective backstop.
I'm using a 250w Mh @ 24/0 lighting schedule.
I'm using a GH duel diaphragm 20lpm air pump pushing an airstone in each tote.
There's also a small submersible water pump pushing water between totes.

UC...can you explain quick how you went from cutting into the totes you are showing? Are you rooting them first somewhere else and then putting them in the UCDWC totes? If your going straight from a cutting to the STG, 6" Net Pot, and tote.....how high do you raise your water level to get them to root?

Thank you for making this thread and updating it regularly. I actually read through the whole 68 pages in 2 days. I like how consistent and thorough your setup is! As a new MMJ Caregiver I am looking through the multiple techniques and setups to find what I can maximize and benefit from. I believe that the UCDWS is it. I do have a question for you.

Can this UC be setup with 5 gallon pots and still be as efficient? I don't as much space to work with(8x10 room) But would like to maximize by using 5 gallons and more plants. (8-12?) My budget for this room is $2400. What would you suggest?

I would say 8 plants in 13 gallon totes. $2400 through.. that doesn't go to far. It says your a new care giver but are you a new weed grower? If so, then I would seriously advise a different, more forgiving hydro method to get your feet wet. Shit happens FAST in a UC system. Some guys make it look easy. I can assure you however that while it is managable for someone who has invested allot of time and effort in the grow room, it is going to be difficult at BEST for a new grower.

Maybe an ebb/flow set up.

yea i must admit with legallyflying .

any type of hydro can be daunting.

only advise i can give is keep your ph and nutes inline,and have plenty of ventilation..meaning fans going 24/7.

i grow RDWC sorta a mixture between RDWC and UCDWC.

i use air stones but have a pump pumping the nuted water in the grow bucket..along with 2 return lines.

its quite basic,but very effictive.

Its really the deep water part that can be daunting. Having the plant roots sit in water demands more attention. There is the problem of temperature, O2 levels, and also bacteria. My water supply if plauged with brown slime so I have to be extra dilligent. You will find 10,000 examples of people saying "just ad h2o2 bro" and it will fix everything. If your in my situation, that is FAR from the truth.

PLus ebb and grow is sooo simple. Only one pump and a timer. It can yield great results, the veg time is just a little slower. In all honesty, the yield numbers at this point in your growing "career" are going to be WAY more tied to your skill at groowing and not over feeding than what type of system your using. Yeah, skilled guys KILL IT in UC. But, unfortunately I don't think your oone of those guys. What I am saying is that if you took two growers in your shoes with one growing in UC and another in ebb/flow; the math says that the ebb/grow guy will probably have better results.

Good luck in what ever method you try. Just be open to advice and keep a grow journal.

That was straight over,
The water level was about an inch up the net pot, keeping the stg around the cutting tip moist and not under water.
I'm now using my e-z-cloner and transfering to the net pot.

Sure it can be set up with 5 gal buckets, I would suggest larger containers for the head and tail buckets.
