Flushing Experiment

So in searching for when I should start flushing, I found a ton of conflicting views on whether or not flushing was even necessary. Everyone seemed to think their way was easily the best, and that was that. The ones who do flush usually say something about one time when they didn't flush quite early enough and their stuff tasted harsh, the others say that's either in their head, or they didn't dry and cure properly.

I'm wondering if there's ever been any growers with a lot of plants, clones preferably, who have put this stuff to the test? Doesn't seem like it'd be too hard for someone with 10+ plants to pull two to the side to test it out. Yeah I know I could do that, but I've just got 2 small plants with different strains, otherwise I'd give it a shot.

With all of this dispute on various growing techniques, I would have thought one person would decide to quit all the bitching and put it to the test. Guess the scientific method isn't too strong around these parts

So my question, does anyone know of someone who did this? Not even necessarily for flushing, but for anything (LST vs. Topping vs. Supercropping). Or would any of you big time guys be willing to give it a shot with your next crop?

well as you say the "BIG TIME GUYS" they have a setup and have got what they are doing down not likely they will stray from that...i think what you are looking for is a hobby person they like to do shit like that..

well, i ain't no big time guy, but common sense dictates that you flush. what you're doing is removing nutrients from the medium. when the roots draw in moisture from the medium, they also draw in nutes. if there aren't any nutes in the medium, the plant will draw the nutes out of itself. this lack of nutes in the plant is what makes the cured product sweet and smooth.

True, hobby guys, come on! It's not a huge deal, I just like to have definitive answers, and what with all of the disputes, not so much for flushing, but definitely for LST, topping, etc. it seems like someone would have done a test.

Common sense also tells us that we should slow down to turn a vehicle, but if you've ever driven a boat that isn't true. I'm not saying flushing isn't right, or that it is, I'd say both sides have pretty decent arguments, I was just hoping someone might bite the bullet and find out for sure.
