flushing question

I been reading that its good to flush your water about every 2 weeks. My question is when they say flush your water about every 2 weeks does this just mean completly change the water in your resievior with plain ph'ed water, and if so how long to you leave just plain water in before adding nutrients back in?

and i am not talking about flushing the last 2 weeks before harvest

No, they are talking about a nice dump, rinse and cleaning of the res. Then refill with a properly mixed nutrient solution. I usually do mine 1time a month....just depends how clean everything stays and keeping the nute levels in line.

You're right on track for the final 2 week flush, thats just plain ph'd RO water (if you use RO) ....some folks like to use a specialized flushing/rinsing agent during those 2 weeks...but not sure if its necessary.

With my bubbler set up I like to change my water every week, I'm sure there are others that will leave it longer and just adjust the ph and ppm. I'll run it for 2 weeks with nutrient water, then with plain ph'd water for a week. Thanks for reminding me to change my water!
