Flushing? Thoughts

If a plant takes up nutrient then it stands to reason that there must be residue once dried in comparison to one that's only had water :wall:

I'm not saying it makes a difference but ffs you can't dispute it must have residue.

flushing and cutting off all the leaves seems to go hand-in-hand
I don't flush, but I do defoliate. I've had great results. I'm not sure why people are so against it. Where are all of the horror stories about stunting or destroying the plant? The only real difference I've seen is I don't have any lime colored lower buds and I haven't caught any bud rot.

People are against it because it makes no sense and there is not good evidence supporting it. The leaves are where the plant makes its food. They grow horizontally and will angle themselves to catch the light while the buds grow straight up to shade the leaves as little as possible. Removing all the leaves to avoid shading the buds is just backwards. I'm sure you've had great results but showing your results are better than they would be if you had left the leaves on is not so easy. That's why people are justified in lumping it into the broscience category, not just because it's promoted by bros who grow.

I'm not totally against defoliating...

But I keep it to a minimum, I think a certain amount is required some methods ie a screen require a bit more than others.

And yes it'll get water once it's ready to cut :-)

This isn't any spectacular bud by any measure but bear in mind it's almost 2ft6" from the light, the way I see it is if the buds required light then this shouldn't have grown, 2.5ft from a 600w light and immersed in a canopy... My understanding is that buds are a by product of the leafs.
