I been reading alot in regards wether we should flush or not our Plants.. Myself I done it all, taste wise yes I can tell, so just grab a dry/water vacum at homedepot $20-40 bucks. and run water 3 times three size of your pot (if doing in soil) and start sucking the run off water with ur Vacum, Do that for like a week. And then just cure it for 4 weeks (60-72 Degress max and in a dark place) and your golden!

I just sit mine in the bath with a couple of bits of plastic elevating the pot, same amount of water as above, I'm still experimenting with times etc. tho a 18 litre pot maybe smaller than what you're doing

Each day for a week? I have a 10 gal smart pot that would mean I would need 30 gal a day for a week?

2 guys shooting themselves in the foot.....

Flushing is a myth!

Do not run gallons of water per gallons of pot size through your media.

As far as simply watering it out for 2 weeks.....Why so long? Your only depriving the plant of actual nutrition at one of the most critical times of growth!

Maybe your last 3 days or so....IF you must at all....

The only thing a "wash" like chem will do is "wash" money from your wallet!

It's all in the CURE.

I begin flushing right when I start pooping. It hides the fart sounds, and sort of helps with the smell. During a regular year(we're in a drought here in CA)i flush up to 6-7 times.

In jail, everyone screams Agua! Agua! Aqua! When you take a shit. It's where I learned the real art of flushing. Don't forget to start flushing when you begin shitting ok. Thx

The best and easiest way to flush is after the chop. Stick the plant(s) in reverse osmosis water for twenty-four hours. The average plant will suck up about .5 litres of water during this process. I trim all the large fans before the chop. I feel that this plays an important factor in taste also.

@Dr.Who I like my weed without any fertilizer in them left. At the end of the second week usually all leafs are yellow and i can be sure to get a good smooth smoke.

that's not how plants work, if that was the case, the buds would yellow too. you can NEVER remove all the nutrients from the plant
True, but i can do everything to further improve the uptake of the nutrients the plant has stored. BTW i definitly taste a difference to the weed i grew and that of a friend of mine that flushs 1 week prior harvest (cuts from the same mother)

I can give 10 of the same cuts to 10 different growers and get 10 different versions. Environment, grower skills come way before myths

How much npk can a plant store by weight or as a percentage of total plant/bud weight ?

True, again. Whats your take then on flushing ? Ive never tested other methods, i was always satisfied with the outcome weight and taste wise.
Edit: I use soil, if somebody cares.
