Foolproof Method to killing Most Small Pests. Why didn't i do this sooner?

Hello all.

I have had spider mite issues for like the last year. because i grow perpetually ive never really had the chance to clear the place out and BOMB it or anything. I have tried many products and although they have worked to a degree...i always seem to get um back!

I currently have 3 stages of plants in a dirt floor basement with 4 400 watt hps, and a 400 watt mh in a Veg Tent.

I had a friend tell me he buys ladybugs at lowes every spring and they rid his place of small pests. My lowes didnt have them at the time so i checked the net. I bought 2000 for 15 bux with free shipping on EBAY.

In my flowering area i let about 25 a day go free at the bottom in between plants. So far i have let about 100 out over the last month.

There is not a bug left! I also see less spiders even. Many of the lady bugs have taken up residence on the plants and i can see them sleeping , when i turn the lights on they really get to work! Up and down every crevice of your plant!

SO far i have really enjoyed the ladybugs and the way they fly around a bit when i come into the space. I give them water soaked towels for water and they are happy as a bug!

I have scoped for mites now for 2 weeks and i see none. Plants are going great!

Do you find them flying around the house?
I've always like the Lady bug idea, but releasing them into the house just seemed weird to me.

nice. what kind of problems do you have with them climbing into the lights and getting fried? I have heard some good comes from the ladybugs, but they never seemed to get rid of all the mites.

Also in a perpetual grow, you may want to consider a predatory mite, they look almost like spider mites, but they kill them instead of your plants.

a few of them have had the irresistable urge to buzz the lights endlessly. Some fly off and look for a way outside. Still others made my plants there home and they are cleaning um well/

I bought 2,00 and i leave the plastic house of theres downstairs and just release a few if i dont see any in the leaves. I read if you just release a few they will make the plants a home and not leave. So far that is the case. I havent had to release anymore in a while cuz theres enoughwalking around my plants.

SO far no problem with um in the house. the one that i saw flew right out the door. (spring is the best time to release otherwise i hear they will climb into your lights and hang out while its cold outside)

So far the cheapest and best working pest control.

What sort of care do they need while in "storage"?

I read they can be stored in the fridge for months!

I keep them in there original container and just sprinkle water in there every few days.

Plants never looked so green! Definately spider mites are gone and theres about 15 or so that live in the plants.

They:-Pre cool!

I live way out in the country, the ladybugs swarm once a year here, ladybugs everywhere for a few weeks. I also don't have any pest problems so far...knock on wood

Try a few praying mantis. There is a lot of information for Good bugs ont he net, they are easy to get and cheap. Different bugs eat differentbugs. The best combo is lady Bugs + praying mantis + green lacewings AKA AfieldKillers. . I buy them each year and release them in my yard. This year I will skip the LB because we have millions of LB babies in our yard. There is little Negative for using them (you might have to sweep up some dead bugs of the floor).
