I was born and raised in Georgia, moved to Colorado last Summer, I suggest do the same, those backward ass old timer bible thumping politicians at the Capitol building in Atlanta will be the last of the hold outs that pass for State MMJ or legalization.

Quite possibly they are so beholding to the old ways of ignorance , that all the other 49 states could pass legalization and Georgia would be the only one that wouldn't pass it. The bible belt states will be the last ones to hold out, for real, MOVE. It was the best thing I ever done.

Georgia has some of the toughest if not the toughest mandatory marijuana laws in the U.S

[note: All 14 states require proof of residency to be considered a qualifying patient for medical marijuana use. Karen O'Keefe, JD, Director of State Policies for Marijuana Policy Project (MPP), told ProCon.org in a Jan. 19, 2010 email that "Patients and their caregivers can cultivate in 13 of the 14 states. Home cultivation is not allowed in New Jersey and a special license is required in New Mexico."]

hey there. I live south of you, so I know how ridiculous the laws are. there are two things to do. stand out on a main road with a sign and bring people to your cause. it's your right to protest. if you're young, educate your peers, non smoking or not and give a good lesson as to the benefits of legalization and the basic freedom stolen from us. every year there's a new senior class eligible to vote. two thirds smoke pot in secret. I made up the statistics, but you catch my drift. web petitions have been going around forever, but real signatures signed in pen and with real work behind them go a lot farther. good luck, we need it
