I too smoked Newports, almost $7 a pack here (fuck all that) I quit about a year and a half ago quit for 6 months then picked it back up again... I was doing so good without them too. Well I've been clean a few days now, starting to pick working out back up again to so I have another reason (increased stamina), don't really crave them much I feel pretty good about it I was kinda ify but this thread knocked me into full gear. Im done with those good for nothing, stinky, nasty tasting cigs. KEEP SMOKIN... WEED.:bigjoint:

I quit December 31, 2010. Woke up and said, I'm done, no more cigarettes for me. It's now been almost 4 months and the only tobacco products I've smoked have been one cigar when I went golfing in Florida. Quitting that shit cold turkey and bragging about it has done the trick for me.. the key for me is to point it out as often as I can.. not to be a pain in the ass to others about it, but more for a reminder to me..

Oh and, I had been smoking for 14 years..

I been smoking for 35 years now. Pack a day or so.
Cant smell for shit anymore but I can still breathe ok.

I just don't think about it and do it.
Guess its more of a habit then an addiction for me cause I can go without but when I get a chance I get pick them up again.

just take mokes. mix tobacco and weed in a bong rip and ull get ur nicotine fix everytime u wanna cig its great everybody in my town takes em but i quit the mokes after a 3 year fiend of them with occasional ciggs but i quit those and pack lips ohhh yea

I'm hoping after my first harvest i can really quit smoking newports, but it seem like i'm addicted to smoking period than just being addicted to cigs cause i only smoke em when i don't have weed. But i wouldn't mind trying an ez cig (or whatever u call em)

I smoked 2 packs a day for years...I got sick with one of my cases of "chronic bronchitis" and decided I don't like getting chest colds 3 times a year. I quit December 3rd 2008 cold turkey, no crutch, no patch, no nicotine at all. My girlfriend smokes, but I have no desire to do so any longer, and I was a REAL smoker...chain smoking 3 cigs on a 10 minute break at work. Probably doubled the amount of weed I smoke when I quit cigs though, haha!

asked the cashier if there was ANY tobbaco
in the product,he assured me it was just
paper.I said good! I dont want any tobbaco

Quit cold turkey after 17 years of smoking, I've been liberated for 1.5 years now. It fucking rocks too.

My cold turkey method that worked for me, was to buy a pack of smokes and tell myself that it had to last me for 7 days. This way you pretty much automatically reduce the amount of nicotine entering your body throughout 7 day period, just getting your body ready for the major change. The first 72 hours are hell but you should wake up on the 4th day and be able to tell the difference that you actually don't need this cigarette first thing in the morning. Good luck to whoever is trying.

Never smoked a cigarette in my life... It will never happen.
I just stick to spliffs (on a regular) and blunts (LESS than before).

For what it's worth, I quit cigs after more than 30 years. I couldn't deal with the withdrawal, gum and patches were shit. I tried Swedish Snus, and have been smoke free for 2 years now.

Good Luck !
