force flowering outdoors?

So I have done this before. I took a plant from a spot where it was getting optimum amounts of sunlight to a spot with only like 3 hours direct light. It forced the plant to flower a month ahead of schedule.

But I was wondering, Does letting a plant bud in a good spot when its supposed to give better bud than when you force it to bud in a spot with less direct light?

What do you think? If a plant could exist in such low-light conditions as to cause it to flower a month early do you believe there would be adequate light available for good bud growth and development? Do you think a plant existing in conditions with so little light would do better than the same plant existing in optimal lighting conditions that begins to flower a month later would?

Took the words right out of my mouth.

if you want them to flower early outside cover them with a black bag so that they only get 12 hrs of light or bring them in at night and put somewhere dark so that its just getting 12 hrs of light(which of course means 12 hrs of uninterrupted darkness the other 12 hours a day).
