Found a few seeds in DANK bud!!! I have a few questions about growing it.

So i bought some of my local dispensaries top shelf bud 5 grams for 60$. I've smoked a lot danker weed in my days but with that being said it was still some DANKKKK!!! (Its "Fortune cookies" suppose to be somewhat similar to GSC)

This dispensary is known for having some dank ass strains but some of them are half assed (pulled to early or late, not cured properly, sparkling bud (only once...), But the top shelf is usually bomb. And in this 5gram sack ive found 4 beautiful seeds and I've got about half of the sack left so maybe more.

My questions are:

Was this weed most likely grown outside? (thats what ive been hearing)

Will the weed i grow from this seed also have herm tendencies?

Can i breed the herm tendencies out by pollinating a true female plant or is it unlikely?

Also not sure if anyone has had experience growing out anything in the GSC family.. but i hear these strains have a tendency to herm easily. Also hear its best grown indoor but i wana do a SOCAL outdoor run. Any idea how the quality would be effected even if grown with care outdoors?

No one can answer for sure, so who knows or cares if it was outdoors. It's good bud right?

You won't know until you grow the rest of the answers to your questions.

Breeding is complicated. If your asking these questions, you won't be breeding.

I've got some bag beans growing now about to go into flower tonight. It came from an amazing bag. Hoping for it to be amazing itself, but you won't know till you grow. Just keep an eye out for intersex plants during flower.

yes keep an eye on it. but grow it who knows most likey its fem seed. see some growers like to force a few females to produce seeds. I would grow it.

Just me personally, I usually won't pop seeds I found in random nugs. With that said though, I did find one of the coolest plants I've grown out in a random bag before. I guess I'd rather know what I'm popping and that a male plant had a role in the seed being there.

i think like above stated, grow em out and see what you get...it's the only way to answer your question:)

Go for it! I got a few zips of nebula a couple years ago and it had like 3 seeds in the bunch. Lost one and one of the remaining 2 was male so i had one going into flowering in the outdoor season and it yielded like crazy! Huge plant, pink pistols until the end of flowering and got a nice purple hue to it. One of the best bag seeds ive grown.

And like stated above, chem started off bag seeds.

You can tell the difference in bud grown outdoor and bud grown indoor. This may not be the case everywhere as our outdoor season is short of optimal conditions but you should be able to tell just by looking at it IMHO.

In better growing places outdoor is just as good as indoor and vice versa. Especially when people do light dep. where they start the plants outdoors in like april and grow them until may or june then start depriving them of light down to 12/12 and you get the full summer sun for 12/12 instead of the lessening sun of fall. Alot of people do it in oregon and canada and colorado since their seasons are a little shorter than CA and southern states.

Herm trait is beyond minimal. Its MOSTLY caused by growers not providing optimal environments, over nute, and other factors of stress.
Plants herm to continue the lineage; if the situation is looking grim for them.

And some CA outdoor will shit on indoor strain. But whether it was grown indo or out doesnt matter for your grow.

Thanks man! and i only asked about it being outdoor because they claim the top shelf they sell is always indoor and they're bottom shelf always outdoor. But most people suggest if it has seeds in it its most likely grown outdoor. Just wanted to know if my bud tenders were trying to BS me. But either way good weed is good weed:) good luck to you too my friend!

Yeah i clarified why i even mentioned if it was outdoor or not on page 2 but im to high to repeat it hahaha:) I live in san diego so i can grow most strains outdoors with ease

I've grown atleast 5 seeds that I have found in bags of dank and every single one turned out to be female...
