What is your say on 5 gal square buckets??? I can fit 10 in my room,

I say yea, what say you?

As long as your room, lights, etc. can support 10 flowering plants.

If you're talking the laundry detergent buckets, I think most are 4.25 gallon.
That said, I like them - they're easier for me to work with than the round ones.

Why should it matter if the pots are round or square? does not compute.

They're shorter than a 5 gallon round bucket, they fit my catch tubs to a tee & they "nest" well together.

I use square pots as they're convenient at saving space. I've never had any problems with growing in them either.

Just make sure your plants are spaced out well, you don't want 10 plants growing into each other. Seeing how all of the pots should be properly spaced I don't see how round or square should matter.

where can you get square pots? been looking for some w/o any holes (so I can use uni-seals) ..... I've seen "Ssytems" for hundreds of bucks but are there pots sold individually for a "reasonable" price (reasonable being under 10 bucks)

Dude, I squeeze 72 plants in 8" pots on a 4' x 8' table. MJ has no problem getting right up close and personal with her neighbors!! I just like to make sure that they aren't too deep. No more than half again their width. If the container is 1 foot wide, I try for a 1.5 foot depth. I grew in a bunch of square pots I got from a Mexican restaurant (Sour Cream containers) that were twice as deep as they were wide. I had a few probs with "over-watering". On a closer look, even though the top half was dry, the lower soil was still wet. Just my observation. I never thought about the "Kitty Litter" or Laundry Detergent" tubs. Thanx GWN, They look perfect. Drill LOTS of drain holes.
