I have heard good things about this product but before i purchase it i have a question. With this soil do i have to add any nutes to it during either the veg. or flower stage of plant or does this soil mixture have all the nutes my plant will need from seedling to harvest?? Also what do u guys think of this mix?

I don't mean to sound rude but did you read the back of the bagfor the exact instructions? For potting soil/mix will take you thru flower without adding nutes. I haven't yet bought this myself but have heard nothing but good about this product. This should work hand in hand with the other fox farm products (grow big, etc.).

Sorry to confuse you with that post. The potting soil you mentioned is made to work with the fox farm fertilizers. This is a great choice of potting soil. I haven't used it YET but intend to next time I buy potting soil (which will be in about a month). This is what I found when I did a search on it:

[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]® is a powerhouse blend of premium earthworm castings, bat guano, and Pacific Northwest sea-going fish and crab meal. Composted forest humus, sandy loam, and sphagnum peat moss give Ocean Forest® its light, aerated texture. Start with Ocean Forest® and watch your plants come alive!

Garden tip: Perfect for containers and ready to use right out of the bag. Ocean Forest® is pH adjusted at 6.3 to 6.8 to allow for optimum fertilizer uptake. There’s no need for nitrogen fertilizers at first; instead try an organic blend like FoxFarm Big Bloom™ Liquid Plant Food to encourage strong branching and a sturdy, healthy growth habit.

I'm using it now. It does not "burn plants". You will need to use nutrients after 2-3 weeks of vegging, and through flowering.

Im using it now and am just starting flowering stage. shit works great but you need to follow the directions for the nutes . Only advice is that when in early veg state use you nutes at half strength. The soil has plenty.

My first grow was in some Home Depot soil, and it lived, and budded (nothing spectacular though), but I went with FFOF for my 4 new clones, and they are growing MUCH faster, and look MUCH healthier. Just use straight water for a week or two, then start adding weak nutrients, and work your way up. Good choice though, this soil is great!

I use FFOF for everything. Cloning, vegging, and flowering. It is great stuff. It is kinda on the pricy side but worth it in the long run cause u r no longer buying pot. If you use the feeding chart (link posted below), then you should be good. I have heard that ocean forest is to hot for clones to take root, but I added perlite to the mix and have had no problems.

FF is cheap compared to other top of the line nutes, i dont know what your tlaking about. You can get all 3 Nutes for under 40 bucks, yea its more than a walmart or homedepot brand but u can get the same result as using a $200 AN product line. In my eyes is well worth it in the end! peace.

Around here the cheapest I have seen fox farm nutes is 20 each (for the powdered stuff). The local hydro store sells them for 35 and 40 each.

This is my first grow. I am using the fox farm ocean forest mix with a mixture of extra perlite for extra drainage. I started my seedling off in this soil right after they sprouted with no problems of nute burn. I am about 2 months into it now and my plants about all around 1.5 feet tall to 2.0 feet tall. Once i put them into flowering after a week i started using tiger bloom at very small dosages. Like 1/4th the regualr recommend feeding strenght. For about the next week i had signs of nute burn with the tips of all the leaves turning yellow.(just the tips) So be carefull when adding nutes to this soil you will want to fore sure start off with small amounts and see how it works for you. But as far as i can tell this soil seems to have plenty of nutes to last a long time. P.s. i put my seedling into 5 gallon soil containers right after they sprouted with no problems with nute burn on seedlings. hope this helps. The soil is very good and my plants seem to love it.
