Nevermind I googled it lol he said he doesn't have any loam in his soil tho. But there's mixed soil with compost, sandy loam, compost manufactured topsoil, professional bedding soil, specialty planting mix, vegetable planting mix, container soil.... Etc. lol what what would be my best best?
I would go out and check his piles personally, but I am guessing the container soil would be the best mix. The stuff I order is premium container/potting mix I believe.

So I've got access to as much sandy loam as I want, should I do maybe a half and half mix of that container soil with sandy loam, or maybe 80/20?

I have been doing it that way for years. Mix in more poo and peralite and ,last years dirt, I cant tell a diff in my grow. Started with bag dirt. Need too much now , cant buy it that way. Seems like alot of bs put into bags. Dont fall into all that. Thers better places to spend money====mike

Hey rhino, check your local nursery and see if they carry a brand called Master Nursery. If they have it, look for either Gardener's Gold or Bumper Crop, they're very similar to Ocean Forest and Happy Frog, respectively. I get Bumper Crop for about $8 per 2cf bag, and they'll run a "buy 3 get one free" promo too. Don't get too hung up on brand names, plenty of good stuff out there without paying extra for a name.
