To kill gnats, spidermites, or anything that flies or crawls, use

Hot Shots No-Pest Strips

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hot-Shot-Kills-Flying-Crawling-Insects-No-Pest-Strip-2-2.29-oz/12166874

They have killed every infestation I've ever seen in less than a week. I hang for 3-5 days then take out, put in a ziplock baggie and save in a basement in case it's ever needed. I wouldn't leave in my garden past the 3-5 days needed to kill the initial bugs and then the ones that hatch a few days later. :eyesmoke:
NO. Not good. Not organic. Toxic vapors really shouldn't be present in any grow room.

Seems like everyone is having pest issues! Every bag of R.O. Aurora I've gotten has had them! Disgusting! Gnatrol followed by a Diatemaceous Earth treatment works pretty good for me. Very annoying that i have to do it every time i transplant, maybe i should just start treating my soil with gnatrol and some diatemaceous earth before using it.

No thats just roots organics. I have a pallet just sittin here of ffof, and its doing just fine. I stopped ordering formula 707 from RO because of fungus gnats. How long did it take for you to return it? Im guessing your other soils infected it. Also dont go with biobizz they have the same problem. Fox Farms production facility in eureka ca is completely sealed. Ro's production plant is outdoors in Aurora.

THats why you never buy soil from outdoors. theirs a reason Sunlight supply sanctions off a room in the warehouse for soils.

All soils get transported at one point or another and become succeptible to any pests. When the soils are sitting at your local growstore, they are succeptible to pests (I wonder if any growers go into these shops battling bugs, possibly WITH bugs on them!). Point is, pests are close to innevitable (even if in small, unoticable populations, which may still cause damage) here on the west coast, according to the research I've done. If you are receiving uncontaminated batches you are either on the east coast or extremely lucky, as I have spoken with five different dispensary owners who complain of ffof and three caregivers all experiencing the same problem. Go predatory Nematodes and Praying Mantis' (there the coolest to watch)!:hump: How did you do your BTI sprinkle Wing nut? I have been using Gnatrol and D.E.
