Fox Farms Nutrients

New grower here. My 25 day old AK48s are enjoying life in Happy Frog under the 400 MH and it's time to buy some nutrients. I've been staring at the Fox Farms feeding schedule here:

http://www.foxfarmfertilizer.com/FoxFarm-Soil-Schedule.pdf

Maybe I'm being seduced by the pretty graphics but I'm thinking of just buying all this stuff and spoiling my girls. But I'm getting the nagging feeling I really don't need all these and I don't want to waste money. Do I really need a product for flushing (Sledgehammer)? How about the Kangaroots and the Microbe Brew? Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, Cha Ching? Good stuff or expensive and unnecessary?

Opinions please...

Sledgehammer is not available in the states the last time I checked. Don't need it anyway. I use the trio solubles. Open sesame, beasti and cha ching at half strength of what the schedule says. You def want the 3 liquids. Grow big, tiger and big bloom. You could probably do without the open sesame if youre strapped for cash. Follow the feeding schedule with the liquids and half strength on the solubles. Ive never had a problem but have heard the solubles tend to cause salt build up. When i start the beastie bloom the buds start to explode. And the cha ching packs on the trichomes. The other 2 you mention i wouldnt worry about. Never heard of anyone growing smoke ever using them. Worth every penny in my opinion. Go for it.

I use the three liquids and dont use the solubles....My babies are doing just fine....but on the other hand they may be bigger and covered more in trichs if I were to use the 3 solubles. All and All I dont want to spend the extra cash for those three Id rather give my plants lots of love!!!

FF liquid trio is all ya need to make what you want. Unless you have a bunch of money to blow on shit that ain't gonna make much difference, I'd keep it simple. Follow the FF schedule, which is quite simple, and you'll be a happy camper. If cash strapped, skip the Tiger Bloom and just go with the Grow Big and Big Bloom. Those two and distilled water grow a hell of a crop!

I wouldnt say they dont make much of a difference because they do!!!! I have seen it first hand with plants of the same strain and pheno type! Yields are improved, have you done a grow with both to see the difference yourself?? Or is that just ur opinion???

You seem to contradict yourself. You stated that you're only using the trio of liquids, so where does your experience with the others come from? Yes, it is "just" my opinion, like most posts on here are. Weed is a very simple plant that needs NPK, lots of light, good water and a few trace minerals to thrive. Beyond that, it becomes hype.

Hmmmmm. I used just the liquids for a long time, and your right, they work fine. I never used the solubles because I took advice just like the advice you gave this guy. Then I had a chance to buy the tri pack from a buddy and my friend I could kick myself for not using them all that time. They made a huge difference. You obviously have never used them.

Skip the tiger bloom? Thats funny and bad advice. Come on man. You need a nute high in P for flowering. Big bloom is a tea not a flower fert. You use big bloom throughout the grow. Glshemp, do yourself a favor and don't listen to this guy.

Are you a wannabee politician, or just a pee-on that works for Fox Farm? "Don't listen to this guy". You're full of shit, point blank! To try and belittle sound advice from a mature adult smells of a child talking of which it knows not.

I'm not gonna get into it with you. I will tell you I'm 38 years old and been growing for 15 years. You sound like the child to me. Troll

I've used the Fox Farm Liquids with great success. I've never used the Solubles though....I cant bring myself to spend almost $100 on that stuff.

Ive asked around, and ive also consulted my local Hydroponics shop manager...He recommended alot of other stuff thats just the same as the solubles, for alot less.

Some of these are...General Organics Bio Bud, General Hydroponics Kool Bloom Liquid & Powder, Big Bud and Bud Blood.......The list goes on and on.

Ive read good things about the Kool Bloom.

Oh yeah....The tiger bloom is essential when using the three liquids.

I'm about a week into flowering. Any advice on the best ways to use Fox Nutes(Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom)? Right now, I'm pretty much just alternating between the two on feedings. Can/should I mix the two and apply both at the sametime?

Possibility of they're getting very, very slight light leakage on the 12 off. I don't think I buy into the notion that a very slight light leakage could keep them from budding after all this time. The bitches are getting way too big for my smallish grow closet and I'm starting to lose interest in them because they just don't seem to want to bud for me. The fucking plants are gorgeous I mean. They are getting huge and I'm at wits end with this shit. Anybody wanna adopt some cantankerous, non-budding little bitches. I'm seriously gonnahave to get rid of them simply because I don't have any other place to let them grow further. What the fuck gives with these bitches?

The price is another reason I never bought them. My buddy sold me a brand new tri pack for $50. And at an 1/8 teaspoon every feed they will last forever.

Ive been following the schedule...

I feed with both Big Bloom and Tiger bloom whenever the schedule calls for it.

I water/feed every 3 days...and alternate fertilizer and water.

You can/should mix the two different fertilizers when the schedule calls for it...Just dont mix them together directly! Add each into the water separately.
(the Fox Farm instructions say this as well)

These are your plants?

Its true that light leaking into the grow area during the "Lights off" period of 12/12 can cause low bud forming, stress, even hermaphrodites.

Be sure and make your grow area 110% light proof.

Give them more time....But maybe next time try giving them 36 hrs of 100% total darkness before switching to 12/12...Ive heard this speeds up bud growth. (although ive never done this, and my buds are huge)

Try not to just throw them out....If you're in a warm climate, try to plant them in a nearby forest somewhat near a water source.
