I agree. Corporations should not get to hide behind the constitution, as it was written to protect individual rights and not the rights of hugely powerful, wealthy organizations.I don't like that corporations get to hide behind the rights of us americans.
If they want to be called news, I really feel that they should be held to a higher standard. If they want to be individuals then go for it, let them be called entertainment tv or bloggers, or w.e. but as soon as they try to call themselves 'news' they should no longer be able to manufacture stories and only be able to report on actual 100% facts that are checked and rechecked for accuracy.
And they should not hide behind our freedoms of speech to get away with what they do now.
But that is just my beliefs.
I stopped watching TV when that decision was handed down, 6 years with hardly a peep, And if I do turn on the boob tube its for some Discovery or History channel show. I never watch the news since all the networks LIE their asses off. I do get certain shows on DVD and still go to the theater and watch a DVD now and then..still watching season 3 of Dexter DVD.
The media lies, the news people lie, the politicians lie, your boss lies, your wife/husband lies, your kids lie and you lie, you think we would be used to it by now.
you all gonna start this crap again? why the name calling? does it make you correct? i'm just gonna close all the playground threads. can't stop me.*GASP*
Surely this can't be true.
The only explanation is that YOU lie, and everyone else tells the truth.
Or maybe it's the other way around.
Hard to tell anymore.

don't tell me what to do.Um, WHAT name-calling?
Did someone tattoo a dirty word on your cornea? Because nobody called anybody any names.
You quoted me, and I didn't call any names. I wasn't even being serious.
Lighten up.
don't tell me what to do.
you said "YOU lie". sorry if i mistook that as an insult.

"Fox new is full of ish....."
Ever listen to the radio? The word shit censored becomes "ish". As in "covered in my ish", a lyric from Alice n Chains man in the box.
Back to the subject. I dont give two F's or an ish what paper or channel the news comes from, as long as its the fact, and only the fact. msn, cnn, fox, all crap. BBC is pretty good though. Just my 2 cents.
