So after reading through the forum, I understand that Foxfarms ocean forest is not the best soil to use for some strains. Will i have any problems with white widow, ice, and blackberry from Nirvana? Also is there a certain brand of perlite I should use to mix with the ocean forest? Is using a germination soil really necessary? Finally if anyone has any general advice concerning these three strains any advice would be greatly appreciated.

dude seriously u can use any soil u want ive been growing weed for years,as long as your not growing auto flowers then it doesnt really matter, all i can suggest to u tho is to as beginner stay away very far away from any soil with slow release ferts...cos the more u water and (trust me)as a newbie u will always water to often it will release to much ferts and burn ure plant=stunted=small grow=migdget plant.
stick to a seedling soil as i do,they are great because the have alot of sand with the soil so your plant will never be swamped with water....but if your pots are tiny then u may consider chemicals to feed your plants hence because your pot/soil will not sifice to feed your plant.
