Fresh Harvest For Cannabutter?

i never dry mine,i freeze what i've trimmed and then throw it all in when harvested (branch stem leaf and popcorn/lower bud),it knocks me out nicely and i feel is nicer tasting,maybe it's better dried but my way does me.

decided to do a little drying firts so it dosent come out with a grassy taste read on some forums people got that taste when they just harvested and drying was not introduced wont be curing for the cannabutter but will cure some buds for my vap wil do a tatse result when done drying thinking about brownies classic.

I'm no expert, but I would think it would be the same as smoking bud. If you don't dry it out first, you'll get that "green/grassy" taste. Probably has something to do with the chlorophyl in the plant material. Not to mention all the water you'd just have to cook out with the fresh material anyways. I would dry it first. Of course, since you're not worried about harshness of smoke, you could quickly dry it in the oven or something.

you actually can, when i make cannabutter i use tons of water in a large pot (new method i use(well new to me)) this way it gets almost all the green flavor out as it has tons of water to absorb too, when its done cooking same time period just do what you would normally do just need a bigger conatainer for the first straining.
