on the real that looks like alot more then an ounce and a half.. i harvested a cheese plant that looked smaller then that and i got a full oz and 10 grams.. good grow

O.K to give a clue....I got some digital scales today so I can weigh the wet weight.
After 2 days drying at 70-75 f and 40-60% humidity it weighed 4.4 ounces or 123 grams.

Question though...what are the signs to look out for to show when its ready?

:?: Hey guys, I think Im probably only a day or 3 away from the completion of drying but I'm not really sure what they should look and feel like. Is it more down to weight loss or will I just know?

i put mine into jars when the outside of the bud feels a little crispy but when you squeeze it you can feel the inside is still a little moist. once in jars you must keep a close watch and burp the jars about 2 or 3 times a day for the first week. after a day or 2 in the jars all the moisture will even out. if it feels too moist then put it in a brown paper bag for a day and open the bag a couple a times and stir it up gently, then back in the jars again.after a week or 2 in the jars you will begin to smell the sweetness as the curing process continues.

ps if it drys to much before it goes into jars it wont cure properly and you will be smoking hay. if its too wet in the jars it will get moldy.

Thanks for the info mate, Ive put about half in 2 large jars today. The buds felt as you say a little crisp on the outside.
It weighed in at 4 oz's. I still have the 2 main colas to go plus half a doz branches to go.

I wonder if theyre still holding a lot of water for that weight. They have been drying for 8 days at 70-75f 30-60% humidity. If not I may have a 6-8 oz grow from 2 plants!

My second grow is under way, about 4 weeks in. Switching to flower tomorrow at about 40cm tall, a little taller than the last lot.. Will post some pics if anyone is intersted .
