So freaking out here, anyways was taking some clones and noticed a white chalky substance on some of the leaves, I have no experience with mildew so what exactly should I do to combat this? I dont want to throw out a plant that has vegged for a month! Any help is appreciated!

Go get some greencure or serenade and spray it on the leaves. It will treat it, but not cure it as the disease is systemic. One of those products will keep the mildew knocked back until harvest. Use weekly.

Serenade will wash the PM off leaves but that nasty shit will pop up again like herpes within another week or two. The only thing Ive ever used that stopped it totally was eagle20..which is a controversial fungicide, but I only use it on mother plants and it keeps it away

Green cure 1 tbs per gallon water
Drench plant , under the leafs , on top of the lleafs ,or ph up to 8.0-9.0
Pm mold can't grow in high PH
Used it 2 times haven't seen it in 3 weeks
keep humidity below 55 %

how does one get it?
In humid climates, it can be all over the place outside. Rhododendrons all the way to pumpkin plants can have it very frequently. You can brush up against it and bring it inside to your garden on accident. But it's more likely to be where you got clones from, that pm is like plant herpes. Treatable but will be passed on to clones.

Best preventative measure, don't get a clone from a garden with pm.

PM is NOT systemic. It is both born from, and transferred by spores, which are all around us and thrive and spread under humid conditions. There are treatments for PM that are systemic, but PM itself is not systemic.

everything ive read says it cannot be removed from an infected plant. once its in a mother it will become a trait of each subsequent clone as if its inbeded in the plants dna. the key is to keep ur environment from becoming a breeding ground with good venalation and air flow as well as prevention treatments. pm looks like cotton type film growing on ur leaves and will attack the flowers soon after showing its ugly face. Had to toss a 7'+ pre98 bubba mom last winter...it was a sad day to say the least

...if the plants are still in veg then just treat them with Eagle 20 and it will rid them of the pm and if you're in flower use milk as has already been suggested, ...it works wonderfully as an organic fungicide that is safe to use throughout flower right up to harvest.

...btw, the milk won't rid your plants of pm in one spraying, it will need to be re-applied every 3 days or so until it stops coming back, ...in my own case that took nearly a month.

...do some research into the life-cycle of powdery mildew and you'll see the best way to deal with it is to prevent it through environmental control, ...meaning you need to learn what conditions promote pm and make sure you don't create those conditions in your grow, ...the spores are EVERYWHERE so if the environment is right, you get pm.

peace, bozo

...and like Uncle Pirate said, it ain't a big deal, ...the key in successfully dealing with ANY pest is to understand it's life-cycle so you can interrupt it.
