Set-Up:
2 1000w HPS/MH
Fabric pots
Royal Gold Basement Mix
Grower's Secret Method Line

All plants come from Harborside in Oakland:

7-Jilly Bean
7-Lavender
7- Bubba Con
3- Blue Cheese

You can see bigger plants in the background those were a gift from a friend not sure of genetics. I'm currently pumping them full of synthetics (Botanicare cns-17) for shits and giggles since I got the sample pack for free.

Im also going to get a 4x8 tray but I have been too busy to get down to the hydro store.

damn now im real excited...does it smell just like jelly beans? the plant looks great!
it's very fragrant and fruity.. we'll wait and see on the final flavor but I'm getting a orange pineapple or orange cream flavor from the rubbing the buds right now

I've grown out like 20 strains in the last year and Jillybean's flavor is definitely one of the fruitiest I have been around

the fruity flavor is what drove me to the strain..Im real excited about lavender Im hoping to get some nice colors. Apparently the leaves will turn purple and black late in flower really giving the plants an exotic look. " It ends up as a 3-way cross between Big Skunk Korean, Afghani Hawaiian and Super Skunk that has the power to literally lay you back, many times ultimately inducing a sound slumber. Deep, dark purple hues surface on the Lavender cannabis plant's leaves and buds into mature flowering stages. In many cases, the leaves turn almost completely black at their ends; it's a true display of the exotic beauties associated with medical cannabis plants."

cool.... i really wanna try the jillybean
I was super excited about getting to try TGA Jilly bean, but my whole 5 pack was male...so now I will have lots of Jilly crosses, but no actual jilly bean. Sucks.

trich! how's it growing?
Im about a week in so far and am seeing rapid, rapid growth. I'm going to be switching over to 12/12 on friday. Just need the bubba cons to catch up a little bit. The jillybeans and lavenders are outta control already at 2 1/2 feet! They have already caught my synthetic test plants and those are 2 months old (I haven't had them the whole time they were a gift 3 weeks ago) Real excitied for this grow I think I have it dialed in with this new basement mix. I was able to get my nutes in there right after transplant which I think is giving me the explosive growth.

I got my lavender from harborside as well, threw it outside and it looks awesome, but my nodes are spread out a little farther than I like. Don't know if you planned on topping it, but I wish I would've. Nice strain selection.

Beej atm things are looking fried! both mentally and in the flower tent. I got heavy on the nutes this time around but oh well. Looks like your grows going swelly!! Things have been hella busy over here as I'm looking for a house of my own. Look 4ward to the next update

damn trich! you need to chief on some of that homegrown and sit back for a sec. When I nute I always aim for the low end of the feed chart cuz you know those nute companies want you to use as much as possible. good luck on finding that house, hopefully a grow room is one of the must haves for you.

Yes a basement is 1st and foremost! And I'm starting to hate nutes very much. I had better results just using water and top dressing with compost half way through flower. Anywho things will work out the next run! Good luck on this one bro and keep up the good work:bigjoint:

Trich...l if your new house anywhere near grand rapids hook up my pops he loves his nuggies too hahahah! I do a lot of stuff with nutrients and I work in the industry so I see all sides of that nute game. That's why I stick to organics. The synthetic lines are all bull. If you look at the pics im about to post you will see some weird looking plants i got as a gift from a grower friend. I have been using the botanicare cns-17 line on them. My organic plants are kicking the shit outta them in size, stem girth, and health. I try and jack them up on the synths as an experiment and they still cant touch the organnies. They are just so happy to be living a natural organic life! I think when all is said and done I hopefully will validate my strict adherence to being fully organic. Im gonna set up blind tests to see if they can tell by look, feel, smell, and taste

Flipped on 8/25 to 12/12 I was worried about my Lavender plants outgrowing the room! All plants look healthy and strong. I finally mounted my filter cuz these babies are starting to get stinky! My synthetic plants are looking ok at least the stalks have started to get fatter. I think they are ready for some buds. It will be interesting who will come out on top. I know my organic ones will cuz of the good organic karma they feel!

Your plants look great! try taking pics through your sunglasses to get rid of those lines. also i was wondering if you have drip trays under those? that's a nice looking hardwood floor.

I smoked some lavender once, and it was more green than purple, but had a spot on lavender taste. like girly bodywash and very stoney,

I have some jillybean flowering (day 56), and I would totally run it again. she handles the summer heat well too. she gets fat and HEAVY near the end, be prepared for that!:bigjoint:
