Fungus gnats & thrips problem

Hello, guys,

I m once again asking for your help regarding a infestation we don t know how to deal with. I m talking about fungus gnats and thrips.
We are growing in a hydroponic system (pebbles) and now the girls are in their late veg stage. Lately we noticed this infestation I told you about. We tried to get rid of them using a chemical insecticide and it was a bad decision, as the leaves got burnt. They are slowly recovering.

We are really looking for an organic solution in order to minimize the "bugs".

Let me know if you know some.

Thanks a lot! Cheers

A lot of people swear by Microbe Lift BMC, gnatrol, and mosquito dunks for gnats. Spinocide for thrips. What I like to do for gnats and thrips alike is to use a sprayer with purecrop1, I use a 70$ generic cordless paint sprayer from amazon and fog it around the pots and bottoms of the plants for gnats, for thrips you'll wanna hit the tops too, if you're in veg or early bloom you can do it with the lights on, do it daily to knock down the fliers it'll make a big difference.

The directions for the mosquito bits says you can use a nylon stocking to contain the bits soaking in water- I would think this would work for a hydroponic system without clogging things up.

Yeah Microbe-Lift, Gnatrol, and bits/dunks all have the same active ingredient (bti bacteria). Gnatrol is many many times more concentrated vs Microbe-lift, there is a more generic version of gnatrol on amazon I buy I think it's $40 a pound. Best bet honestly is probably just the Microbe-Lift for ease of use. Definitely spray daily with something too tho for the fliers and the thrips. You can even spray a few times a day around the pots where the gnats hang out to really knock out the fliers. Purecrop1 stays good for a week after mixing so you can just keep using the same sprayer and not have to worry about mixing a new batch every day.
