so its the same food grade powder for the soil? whats a good ratio ? a cup to 3 cu ft or so?

sprinkle a 1-2 inch layer of diatomaceous earth (food grade) before letting your soil dry, let your soil dry after for 4 days at least. water and add sand on top of the soil again another inch or so. the diatomaceous earth can be watered and will provide silica to the plants but it will create this paste on top of the soil, youre looking for the dry state of it to shred those lil fucks.
you could add yellow sticky traps but thats just what it is traps its not enough disturb the gnats life cycle.
