ok so i have this houseplant and i have no idea what's going on with it looks like black spots on the leaves and it seems to be slowly working its way round killing off leaves. there's still loads of new growth, but i'm quite attached to it n don't want it to die.

anyone got any ideas ???

Well I would go with Phosphorus deficiency due to soil being compacted,
with out feeling the leave because it could be a fungal thing going on.

hmmm apparently they dont need a lot of soil and i did pot up relatively recently ( it was an expensive pot too ) so im loathed to pot her up. i think i might try and clone it and have a go at the braiding bit myself

You can cut the old growth off to encourage new growth and its a tree so needs a deep pot. Also Iv read it dont need a lot of water.

yeah i was thinking if i pot her up she could go bananas it is the lower parts of the canopy maybe its just the plants way of culling old growth, there aren't any marks on the new shoots

You need tropical sun and warmth for flowers is my bet.

I have a snake plant (aka mother-in-law's tongue. It flowered one year when I set it outside for the summer. Weird, stinky, but beautiful.

i was round a pals the other day and they have the bigger version of the same and it has similar black spots, i think its fairly normal?!?!
