I read somewhere on this forum that garlic helps with gnats. For 1 its bullshit IMO. Still had a shitload till I put up sticky strips. The funny part is I tried it I threw 5 or 6 cloves in the pot about half cover and after watering soil cover 1 and guess what I have 3 girls in a pot and went to do some pruning and found a new growth. I was high and was like " fuck did I drop a seed in that bitch" And no it was garlic growing between my girls I tried to tugg the bastard out but, its rooted inbetween the girls. So I'm wondering what "flavor" this will bring to the party.

It will probably make it taste like garlic lol but thats not a bad idea i would could other herbs or plants be used to add flavor like ginger, mint or some other spice .Let me know how she tastes how long left till harvest
I have a chilli plant in with my girls i read it helps with gnats and other insects and i did notice that the chilli plant never had insects around it so i put it in with the girls and snapped open a few chillies and i have noticed less gnats than there was

companion planting with garlic is a known remedy to repel some bugs. I grew some in a pot to watch how it grew, It grew deeper than I thought. And it takes a while for 10 cloves to grow on the end of that stalk. I dont think good for pot ot pot. But...

I got your remedy for fungus gnats. I had them for months, tried everything. Then I used this combo. I went to lowes and got mosquito dunks. They are safe for animals and crops. They thro them in horse water troughs. It has a manmade bacteria inside called BTI. Totally cool. It actually attacks fungus gnat larvae and kills them all. For real. No bullshit. I disloved them in water then water my plant. But...

you got to cover the topside. For that I tried every spray and only PYRETHRIN worked. I sprayed like directed. Also...

Those sticky traps work real well too. Since then I never have fungus gnats. Once you get them, say thru a bannana in the trash outside ou did not know about, you are stuck till you get rid of them. Once gone they stay gone till the enxt bannana. They will kill your roots. The larvae eat roots for food.

1) Flavor we will see I snapped the top in half to make room for the ladies to grow its still early 2 weeks into flowering cycle. I have to see if it grows more or not.

2) the gnats I havent heard yet that they will screw up roots but I hope nope the plants have had these little black gnats since day 1 and they are looking healthy this is them a few days ago. There are more lights now 3 42w 2700k and 1 26w 6500k. Will be getting even more after xmas.
