G13 Haze+Superthrive uhh ohhh

Ive got two week old g13 haze seedlings under a 430 watt hortilux bulb. I have been feeding distilled water once the medium dries out.

Temps are around 80. Humidity at 30%.

They are sitting in Ocean Forest.

Yesterday I added two drops of superthrive to my gallon of distilled water, and BAM looks like Mg deficiency on of the plants.

Brown specks on the lower leaves.

Serated parts of the leaf are curling up slightly.

Leafs showing a slight bend.

What the hell is going on here!?!?!?!?

same exact thing happening to mine.. can anyone help?

This seems has to be a solution to this?

Is ocean forest potentially damaging to a weak sativa seedling?....

I use foxfarm ocean forrest for all of my plants and it seems too be pretty mellow. How old are they?

Woops I just read that again. So at two weeks old theye probably have like 3-6 nodes right?

Well I think its probably the superthrive you gave them because my bro has about three or four plants the same age and in foxfarm ocean forrest with three nodes. And they look totally fine. I would say flush them and then give them a lttle dose of big bloom if you have it.

thanks mate. will flush when i get home. im assuming a good old flush with distilled water will be good for em.

i like the big bloom idea. will give them a 1/4 dose.

i have had bad things happen to my plants when they were small killed all of them over night and i had to start over . the reason i know it was the superthrive is because its the only thing i gave them besides water and light .

same that happened to me when i first used it, you have to put like 1 drop per 2 gallons or otherwise it seems to burn your plants, ust go easy with it and your plants love it

Damn guys, i just got me some of that superthrive, havent used it yet, but after reading this, makes me wonder.... Naturally the stuff would burn the plants, I mean, u know it's potent shit when it's telling u to u put one drop in a gallon.... I think I may opt-out of using it.

See thats the problem, everywhere I look on RIU I get so many different ratios from people. Guess its my fault then.

But damn, burning my plants with two drops!

Either way, you guys recommend the flushing?

I hate doing that with Ocean Forest, gets rid of all that good shit I pay for.

Depends on the actual condition the soils in now. I mean, if the ph is still right, maybe str8 water will help. Check ur ph in the soil, if it's good, then try givivng it just water for a while. Just personal preference, but I only flush if I HAVE to..... or harvest is comin, YUM! Either way, good luck.

I always use Superthrive at 1 drop per cup or 250ml and have never had a problem, even on sprouted seeds. Not sure what has happened but I doubt It's the Superthrive, It's mostly just a vitamin B1 supplement and Wont burn your plants.

SuperThrive is an advanced hormone supplement with specific uses. Contrary to popular belief as well as the on-bottle instructions, SuperThrive is not for everyday use. If a plant is already healthy & thriving, there is no reason to use SuperThrive on it. SuperThrive contains several plant hormones, including Rooting Hormone, which is not something you should constantly dose your plants with!

The following are Professor Membrane approved uses for SuperThrive:

Clone Soak: 2 drops in 4oz (120ml) of H2O.
Seed Vitalization: 1 drop in 4oz (120 ml) of H2O.
Transplants: 1/8 Teaspoon (less than 1 ml) in 1 gallon of H2O.

Anecdotal Note: Our experiences with SuperThrive indicate that Indica dominant varieties of Cannabis may respond more favorably than Sativa dominant varieties when exposed to this supplement.

there is no way in hell two drops of superthirve burned your plants. That is what I give clones and they love it. Also perfect for germing seeds.

superthrive didn't cause the issue, lack of knowledge did. the light yellow is magnesium def, the rust spots are calcium def. feed more, don't blame superthrive, and CERTAINLY DO NOT flush. i've used up to 5ml per gallon superthrive, it does not burn or cause problems.

get botanicare cal/mag, use it every feeding in addition to your nute program.

ocean forest is pH balanced and has enough nutes to keep a plant going for at least a couple of weeks. and there is no way i have nute lockout, all my waterings have been done with adjusted distilled water brought to 6.7

Temps are good, humidity is fine, good airflow, enviromental conditions are good.

Sorry to say, but when I bring one element into the grow and things go haywire its only logical to blame it. Plus, I have heard countless people complain about the ill effects of ST.

Like I said, flushed last night. Looking great this morning.
