Smell: Like an industrial cleaner or solvent
Taste: Smooth but still solvent with some floral undertones - hard to describe
The High: Not hard to describe - kickass!
Comments: Got 2 freebies in a seedbank order last year and dropped one in a peat plug on a 12/12 From Seed challenge. Very sorry I did. I topped the plant 3 times and it yielded just a tad over 1 ounce. One ounce of some smallish tight buds of some damned good smoke. Immediate favorite at my house. I had taken 2 clones as the initial growth was not impressive and she began flowering so quick (12/12 FS). One clone bought it from a ferret attack but the second is on 20/4 under a 400-watt MH. I also planted the 2nd seed but vegged it for 6 weeks before putting her under the HPS where she is currently. This will be only the second strain I would say will be a constant for me. Out of about 12 strains I grew out last year this is easily #1!!

However I ordered a 5pack and got 2 distinctly different phenotypes> 4/5 sprouted in 48hr

2 of them have a LemonPledge smell and LemonHead Candy taste(one yielding higher with little less trich. coverage)
2 have Sweet Earthy smells and Sweet Hashy tastes(bigger yeilds)

Keeping both pheno. of the lemon and one the hash pheno. with more trichome production

The pheno. all have killer buzz with wraparound effects (Indica+Sativa)
Much stronger than any of the plants growing beside them and if this generation of clones turn out the same as the seed plants...
I'll be giving away all the other genetics I have to friends and filling up with only OG13...it's that good to me

I hear you on the Lemon Pledge smell. The description of classic OG Kush meets this any day.

I can get the real og kush cut today if I wanted it...I don't

Og 13 is not better than a real og cut not even close

You don't have a good og13 then...I have access to more than just the old OG kush>go to a dispensary + you can get over 10 different types of OG! Apparently you haven't grown enough of them to know anything on the subject...

Even Grandma can get OG kush now...I've grown 20 OG13 beans now and 2 of them from the first 5pack were superior to the cuts they sell @ dispensary
Grew 5pack and found 2 killers>Bought 3 more 5pack and couldn't find another one like them.

+The fact I had "Diablo" OG and the old OGkush growing right next to them also helps my conclusion...
Don't really care if you think the same or not>continue growing the old OG.

My friends have a choice of what they want to get and they pick the OG13 until it's gone and they have to buy the other OG's.

I know alot of people who buy 1 bean and think it's going to be what they describe

Agree on the OG13. It's one of just 2 strains I grow repeatedly and it always gets lots of comments about potency. Clones easily. Just doesn't yield heavy.

Any idea on the OG cut they used...? i think i read somewhere its an S1 from clone..

Sorry man, I sure don't. To be honest I got the seeds as freebies in an order last year and planted one just as an afterthought. Holy cow. Clones very easily although it was weird - the clones began to flower under 20/4 almost immediately after taking them. Within the week. ! I left them alone and figured what the hell. When I checked they were not rooted so wonder. Anyway they finally rooted, stopped flowering and vegged. My last plant from seed is in soil and will be done in a week or less. The last clone (being transferred so have to shut my grows down - but to Colorado so hurt me!!) is now under the HPS to flower. Bushy as all hell, thrives in the DWC at around 350PPM on AN Sensi series nutes and had to be lollipopped.

A lot of it is that smell.

u sound like a clown og 13 ain't shit compared to other good og's I've grown

I got all different pheno's from the packs I bought> How many did you germ.? one?
I've grown over 12 different "OG" kushes including the original. Don't care what you think Clown!
It goes faster than any other of the OG clone only I run next to them and it's all OG in there...

Thx for the report, I have yet to try any OG I have been sticking with low smelling strains like onyx but I really want to try it. Can you gve any indication of how potent the smell is during flowering and typically at what point you noticed it. I have a carbon filter set aside for emergencies incase i get a smelly phenotype which i have yet to encounter with Onyx but I grew an Afghan Kush Ryder Auto before and the smell from that really made me nervous that was insanely stinky (but insanely good smoke also)... in a nutshell how does the smell of this compare to other strains you have grown.

I'm well impresed with the quality of genetics from g13labs - a company I would never have gone near cos I'm old school ( mr nice, mandala m/f seeds ). But I had a white widow freebie from them and gave it a whirl. Big yield of the best weed out of 8 strains at the time. So I've since tried gigabud ( very good and HUGE buds ) and can't really fault em so far - looking forward to trying their pineapple express.

I just pulled down my OG13 which was grown from a single seed gifted to me by a good friend. The thought that said bean could yield something 'good' was remote but it was worth a shot. Well, at harvest she was fuely, funky and hashy, and a friend of mine who has also never had an OG said it smelled like lemons.

It sure is a tasty strain, coats the mouth with an earthy, fuely, funk for minutes after the exhale. The buzz is a lot more interesting than I'd have thought too. Overall, this is just a good ole solid strain.

I am a huge fan of G13 Labs but I ordered a 5 pack of this garbage and it looked, smelled and tasted like Big Bud. All 5 came out the same way. I'm not even sure if what I got was the OG13 because it was anything but kush. Not sure if I would try it again.

Carbon filters are a must in my opinion! Low odor or not weed is weed. But why risk giving off the funk. My grow is in a closet sealed in a tent vented out through the attic vents after passing over the carbon. As long as I dont open my grow area, Im fine. Just chopped a RP Sour Kush today that reeks! During the whole grow, my wife never complained of smell. In the past she lets me know asap! I was afraid as a newbie to grow the funk! But I have learned that carbon filters work! They are a must in my garden whether Im growing Northern Lights or OG Kush!!
