hi mate I'm currently having a go at my first waterfarm scrog and i was just wondering how come you flip to 12/12 before filling the screen is it best to do this or should i fill the screen and then flip like i would do in soil here's a pick i hope you don't mind :peace:

I'm not, I changed my mind. Running nutes until harvest.
you guys (mr2shim, scottyballs and seedling) made me do it. I just ordered a pack of PE from the tude with my order of timewreck. I don't have near the experience than you but I would flush for at least a week and go lights off for at least 48 hours before the chop.

Filling the screen depends on the strain you are growing and the height you have For me and Shim we have the same tent and height is our enemy. Now if you know what kind of stretch your strain has when you switch then you can determine how full you want the screen. I had A full screen when I switched and had no room to move the branches and the grew up into the lights some. But if your strain does stretch much and you have room I say fill it 75% and weave what you need to weave in the first week or so of flower and let her go. Hope that helps some.

thanks mate it does make more sense to me now maybe a stoner moment i wasn't thinking about limited height space. so i should be ok to carry on vegging for a few more weeks before the switch :peace:

I love this thread. Looks like another masterpiece is happening from people using Waterfarms w/Scottyballs tek. I love my chow mix but I can't wait to try a waterfarm.

The only way to grow if your doing one plant for personal use. Huge yield and not a lot of work.

Yep, that's exactly why I use this setup. It's perfect for me. I might even start growing more than once a year. I've stuck to once a year because I takes me about a year to go through it all. I won't be growing again until at least January, taking a vacation around Christmas for a week or two and I'd have nobody to babysit. So far on the bucket list is LSD and C99. Any ideas are welcome. I like 8-9 week strains that are hybrid or Indica Dominant.

I always thought that added conflicting chemical flavors to the buds? Interested in reading the smoke report.
I've thought this too, but I've read some articles that go against it. There's a LOT of misinformation surrounding cannabis.

PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW YOU MADE AN EVEN CANOPY BEFORE EVEN HAVING THE NODES THROUGH THE LITTLE HOLES. AND WHAT METHOD DID YOU USE TO HAVE SO MANY MAIN HEADS BEFORE THE PLANT REACHED THE HOLES . TOPPING, LST, MAIN-LINING ETC..?
BECAUSE I THOUGHT YOU TRAIN YOUR PLANT FIRST, UNTIL YOU GET THE RIGHT CANOPY AND THAN SWITCH TO 12/12.
I NOTICED YOUR NODES DIDNT EVEN REACH THE HOLES UNTIL A FEW DAYS INTO FLOWERING, I WOULD THINK THERE WOULDNT BE ENOUGH TIME FOR THE PLANTS TO HAVE REACH THE HOLES DURING FLOWERING FROM THE STRESS.
UNLESS YOU HAVE A COOL METHOD TO SHARE WITH ME :bigjoint:
YOUR PICTURES WERE SOME HELP.
I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND ME
PEACE

Woah man, stop yelling at me! I topped it at the 4th node. Grew it out, tied some branches down I guess you can say LST. Flipped the light to 12/12 she stretched I weaved and you have what you see. Not much to it really.
