I'm starting to notice where I could have spread the growth out more, as she's growing in a dome shaped manner at this point, but it's too late to pull any tops down and spread them out. Hopefully this doesn't hurt my yield too much. Either way, I'm pleased with her so far, and excited for the next grow as this has been a major learning process as I assumed it would be.
Hey man Im BACK! and god your baby is looking damn fine:weed: on those last pics i swear i was looking into scottyballs cab, thick and bushy, amazing weaving= v. jealous my friend. You said about it being a learning curve and it certainly has been for me already and i am still so FAR.
I took your advice and got me some Flora Nova bloom, it does look like chocolate juice lol. Subbed for the rest of the grow man, cant wait. Done an update on my journal to explain what happend.

good luck with the rest of it!

Thanks man. I'm glad to hear you say that, as I too see something very similar to what ScottyBalls had, but I wasn't sure if I was just HOPING for it to be the same. Hopefully the buds develop similar to how his did, only time will tell.
Updates tomorrow with pictures.
Also, I was going to vary from ScottyBalls method just slightly by using KoolBloom Liquid+Dry during weeks 3-8. Anyone got any experiences with it, and does it make a noticeable difference? If not I'll just stick w/ the Nova Bloom.

hi fella looking forward to seeing your pictures and that, took your advise and still put in a screen as I think i wasnt too late have attached some pics im on day 55 - 6 days into flowering with 5 PE plants. Do you know what the yield is supposed to be like? I never got a chance to pinch my plants or chop them so will have to see how i get on with 1 colon.

Hi Rylan sorry Im lil late ;) I had allot going on over the last few months new baby boy etc..

Anyway Ive skimmed over your thread and looking good man.. yeah your shop talking about flora duo being better is BS.. Flora Bloom hits every mark that are important in growing MJ plus the strong PH buffers eliminate the need to add phos acids etc..

Now that said your plant is looking good only thing I might be able to help you with right now is look for a Macro button on your new camera or a lil Flower symbol.. this will allow your camera to get much closer and allow it to auto focus on close up pictures most all cameras have this feature.. let me know if you have any questions..

oh btw Kool bloom is just a phosphorous and potassium kick nothing more Ive used it and have seen no difrence in yeild or smell.. its just a marketing gimmick imo... stick with Nova Bloom or you could wind up doing more damage then good..

Wow those look nice Ladbrooke, definitely some healthy plants. And it does look like it may have been too late for you to scrog, I wasn't aware they grew so tall.....I guess I just got lucky w/ the pheno I have, as it grew like its been topped or fimmed, but it hasn't. I'm not too sure on the average yield for PE, but Scotty got 10oz from his, and I'm shooting for something very similar. I'd imagine w/o a scrog to spread the love around, 2-4 oz per plant is a good estimate for you. Either way, you've got 5 going, so no biggie on getting the screen down late.
Thanks Pukka, and I'm sure I could re-weave a few of the tops at this point, but some are so thick that pulling them back down threw the screen would snap them at this point, so I'll just leave them alone. I'll know better next time though. :D

And thanks Scotty, and no worries on the delay, I know you've got your own life, and helping me out w/ pointers on my grow benefits you none. I appreciate you taking time to stop by though.
I completely agree about the FloraNova, she seems to love it, and the PH buffers are awesome, so I'll definitely be sticking with it from now on. Very simple, can't beat it. I'll definitely look for the macro button, or a flower symbol, as I need to get some good pictures of the bud development as it progresses. Feels good to hear you say that's the only thing you can help with, considerring what you are capable of doing with one plant and one Waterfarm. I'll also leave the KoolBloom alone. I'm lazy at heart anyways, so Nova Bloom only works for me. :P Thanks again man.

hey, dont worry too much about ph at this point- it oscilates wildly when the plants are that young. when your roots get down to the lower rez then you will start to notice a big difference, do try to keep your ph down but it will balance out when you start giving her nutes. If you buy some liquid silicon and only put it in when you do a res change that does a lot of good things- it helps promote cell production, promotes the flow of nutes through the plant, and also for some reason balance ph just fine. Always use less than it says on the bottle- it says 1 ml per litre- i put 5ml in 8litres. I used ph down on my first grow not really knowing what i was doing and it is so powerful I gave up in the end- ph up, ph down ph all over the shop! subbed +rep, interested to see where this baby goes! :)

cheers bud went in this morning and found that I think i have been giving them too mmuch nutes as a few of the leaves are getting yellow spots on them :( Think where they were loving the nutes in veg phase I got a bit carried away! Oh well just cut them out for a couple of days and fingers crossed back on track. Cant really afford a PPM meter so just going on what the internet told me. Have you had any problems like this. Also if you have a fan blowing directly onto the plants is that not good? Yh I thought I was too late for the SCROG but i still but the mesh in as am hoping because I havent pinched the tops that it will get the plant some stability. Only time will tell though eh!

Ottermunky, who are you talking to? I'm not worried about my PH, so I'm a little confused as to who you are giving pointers too.
And that sucks Ladbrooke, i've yet to run into any nute burn, hopefully I won't. I've had her up to 1300 PPM roughly, and she has shown no signs of being over-nuted. Then again apparently she is a nute-whore by nature, so that's probably the reason why. I have a fan blowing air directly across the top of my canopy, as well as below. I also have a intake fan blowing air into the bottom of the tent...have seen no problems with this so far.

Those dimensions are about the same size as my grow tent brock, so I wouldn't suggest running two units in there regardless of the size of the light. If you did, I would only veg them for a very short period, and you'd probably come out with the same yield as one plant left to dominate the same space as two. I vegged my PE for about 40 days, and she has filled up the entire screen. I originally planned on running two units in there as I was a little skeptical about being able to fill the area w/ one plant, but I quickly realized I had nothing to worry about. If you want short w/ high yields then PE seems to be a very good strain. All the grows I've seen it in have been nice yielding, fast finishing, and scrogging will keep it short enough. I will DEFINITELY be growing PE again, and I've yet to even see the finished product.
Update w/ pics in a little while, need to smoke one first.
Thanks for everyone that's showing some interest in the grow!

Day 15
PPM - 1140
PH - 5.9
Everything seems to be running smooth. I definitely should have spread the tops better as I have so much growth crammed in, and some of the buds sites could use more light. Is removing fan leaves above the screen a bad idea at this point? I don't want to over-stress her while she's developing buds, and I'm done with removing growth from below. I tried to get some good closeups of the pistils, but my camera still didn't want to cooperate with me. I found the macro button, but it didn't seem to help much. Maybe its a shitty camera, or I'm a shitty photographer. Here they are anyways.

looks great man.. you can do some supercropping, just pinch the branch a little on a bud site closer to the stalk and let it soften up, then bend it downwards, it will pull itself back up and leave an opening to get light.. i've done it to my out-do and in-do.. might widen a little, but will get better light to all inside and tops (well not colas obliously) awesome bro lookin good!!!

Thanks for the tip Truth, I'll have to look into that. I assume you grew the bud in your profile pic? If so nice job, looks delicious.

Yeah I know should be ok though, got some pistals starting to emerge and 1 week into flowering, did you find that taking off the bottom leaves affected the growth at all? Do you think it is too late to do it if I have the pistals coming? Sorry, keep asking you questions!

No problem otter, at least you were trying to help.
And I didn't notice any negative effects from removing the growth Ladbrooke...I was a little worried that the growth would be slowed, but as far as I can tell she's moving along nicely.
