stomper gems 006.jpgTomorrow these will go into paper towel, with a heat element.
Glad to finally get started. i should probably also say that there are two test runs being done right now for the grape stomper x dumbo(grape stomper bx). However, the male used each is different. To quote m4k:
Grape Stomper BX = Grape Stomper x Chemdawg Sour Diesel, but we've actually used two different males for this project. There are two sets of tester beans out right now that are the same cross but using different males. We will have to wait and see which one turns out better! The Don is a male with a Grape Stomper smell and Foulballs has a funky chem smell. Both show signs of frost and good growth structure.

Im eagerly awaiting some incredibly grape phenos on this one, as i am running the Don pheno. Gudkarma is running the Foulballs pheno.

I will be running a bank of t5's for veg and ill be flowering in a 4x4 tent with a 600w hps(hortilux). I will be using a strictly organic feeding regiment. I use the humbolt nutrient natural/organic line with a few key additions and substitutions. I will be updating this log any time there is any type of noticable change to plants or every few days. Stay tuned for the fireworks, they will most llikely be purply-green-grape!gem in towel.jpg

Ok so I was able to get a majority germinated so far. Two i can fairly surely say are not gonna make it due to overall lack of vigor and an incredibly tough shell. I usually try to get the shells and membrane stuff of the seedling asap:

I should also probably note that these beans all would have greatly benefitted from a good scuffing. These beans seemed a little tough. Also, i helped about half of them shed the membrane stuff that usually remains after the shell is gone. In my experiences this "membrane stuff" can spell death for a seedling if new growth is covered/prevented from air/growth. A lot of the time its really hard to see so if your not looking for it, it will get ya.

I conpletely agree with getting the shell/membrane off.. I do it also. On top of that imo it causes unnecessary stretch

this posst from 2/4: Ok, so now i can say for sure that i have ten little stompers alive and healthy. They were a little slow to start but to be expected.
gsbx day 12 seed.jpg

I had to keep them in the dome for the first few days until a decent taproot/mainstem. In the last day or so they seem to be picking up a bit so i openened all the vents on dome to prep the lil ones for lower humidity. They seemed to love the fresh air so off the dome went. Now they seem very happy and i expect them to take off from here.

Ok so ill start with the bad news....the runt of the litter decided to give up on life and wilt completely over night.
I have been racking my brain the last 2 days trying to think of what i did wrong as i kept the runt in the exact environment the others have been loving. Better not to dwell and i try to remind myself that natural selection of the best, strongest, plants is meant to weed out the weak....Survival of the fittest

As for the rest of my babies, they r ready for full nutrients schedule(veg). I have decided to use the general organics line by gh. I have had good consistent results in the past. Later in veg and especially in flower i will be adding a few ingredients as the g.o. line is lacking in brix/carb levels.

All 9 are doing well and 6 are a good size with 2 smaller and one runt. My old runt died and the new small(runt) very closely resembles the deceased. In the past ive had good sucess with runts so im optimistic.

here are pics:2.17 004.jpg

and smaller ones plus my new runt(#8):

Once they are big enough ill be transplanting them and putting them under a 400w hortilux blue. Ill try to keep this thread as updated as poss. ill check back in a week or two:weed:
