General Organics Nutes

I just switched from GH Flora Nova series to General Organics Go Box, which comes with the flower, bloom, and the other additives as well. After looking around the only place I can find a feeding schedule using these nutes is on the product website http://www.generalhydroponics.com/bl...cs-feed-chart/. My question is should i go with these measurements or should i maybe use half strength fro the first week of flower and build up? Any kind of help or comment is appreciated, Thanks.

Already posted at your other thread..... but since your gonna use them at flower you should b fine sticking to the chart. If you don't notice burn in the first week you can raise your dosage a little bit. Using mycorrhizae with the line helps a lot

Ok Thanks guys for the tips, I havent heard anything about this box so I was kinda skeptical. I'll take the marine and the diamond out of the grow, and I'll keep it to light feeding from the chart.

hey guys,

i use the whole GO Box, different ingredients at different times of course, but they all seem well-rounded and effective. the Diamond Black (humic acid) is a great natural stimulant of microbial activity and nutrient uptake. the BioMarine smells nasty but the girls love it. the BioMarine isnt on their feeding chart but I add it in with every batch. the microbial life eats it up and the plants look beautiful. after you apply it you dont smell it anymore. i would recommend trying out these two products, they are quite beneficial to the grow.

i am currently using double what the chart says (basically the heavy feeding schedule on all the bottles) and theres no burn. just dont ramp it up right away, give it a couple weeks in flower, then give it the double/heavy schedule. bud explosion... but yeah the chart is a great basic guide to proper feeding.

cheers,

Hello All,

Been sneaking around this site for years now gaining excellent knowledge, thought I would finally add my limited opinion.
Growing many years, medical licenced user.
Flower in 2.5' * 3.5' space under stiars, 430 watt,
250 fan on speed dial with can filter,
coco / perlite 80/20 mix (botanicare coco the best in my opinion.)
Consistant temp 65-75, humidity 40 - 65.
Past have used AN, Lucas, Bio bizz (Used to love it, unavailable now), CNS17 Ripe / Bloom.
I believe too much emphasis on nutrients and not enough on environment.

Recently the rep for GH in eastern Canada sent me the GO box to my door for free.
Just finished my 3rd week of flower, my plants have never looked as good as they do now, colour, size, bud development, density and NO Stretching.

Transition week 1 - 1/2 strength.
Week 2 - 3/4 strength.
Week 3 - full strenth.
Week 4 just started will do 1.25 * recommended amounts.
week 5 - 9 Not sure yet :)
Have not used bio marine yet.

With that, the 1 thing I have noticed with GO nutrients is that my plants drink about half the amount of water as mineral nutrients (cns17), and my run off now is 5% instead of 20 %
A lot less work so far, but will comment again after harvest.

In flower

1 * Zombie Virus - OGA
1 * Damians My cross (nl5 * haze) * Shiva Skunk - Sensi Seeds
1 * Agent Orange - TGA
1 * Snow Dawg - Cutting from friend
1 * Green Manalishi - Motorebel Sanni Seeds - G13 * HP * Pacific G13
1 * Extrema - Sanni Seeds - Herjuana * Chem - I think

"different ingredients at different times of course" do you feed with every watering? do you flush at all? if you check ppm whats that look like for your waterings?

I noticed that their feeding chart says to feed calmag with every feeding, has anyone experienced a mag def when using recommended dose?

I noticed a mag and a n def in some strains. I used Epsom salts for the mag prob and amino aide for the n.

hey guys.. sticky scissor and lars, what mediums are you guys using?? im usin 1/2 black gold, and 1/2 paydirt (mix from local nursery composted mushroom, chicken manure, peat and mycorrihazze fungi's... not sure how many species) im not really seeing any deficiencies at all either, just VERY rapid growth (like 1/2 inch per day minimum).. i dont boost c02 either

I have been feeding after every two waters, so - feed, water, water, repeat. about two days between each. Next grow cycle im going to only water once before i feed again and see how the girls handle it. im going to try this because i noticed veg growth was rather slow compared to hydro, and feel that if the nutrients were more available perhaps it would have grown faster. i dont flush during veg or flower when growing in soil, as i dont want to interrupt the plants uptake of the nutrients - the whole system would have to pretty much 'restart', the microbes lose their food source, etc. i will flush at the very end of the grow though. since the GO Box ingredients are organic and need to be broken down by microbes first, i dont feel that PPM has as much relevance as it does using synthetic nutrients in hydro. i also dont check pH but dont seem to need to. i find that with the GO line and proper microbial life in the soil the pH stays pretty solid.

i do exactly wat you do feed/ water with plain water/ then water with hydrozym then repeat. but with the general organics i feed/ feed/ water. had great results. oh and to the guy that asked wat medium im in roots organic soil with 25% perilite

Isnt using plain water in organics basically flushing it? or are you talking about the use of a actuall flushing agent? do you have a jornal or a link to your set up at all?

i think wat he means by flush is wattering with alot of run off

plain water can be used to flush organics if you run a lot of water through each plant. all that run-off will eventually pull nutrients, salts, and organic compounds out of the soil. my reason for watering twice between feedings is just to keep the soil moist and the microbes alive and kicking and doing their thing. i only use about 1/2gal of water to water each plant, there typically isnt much run-off. at the end of the grow i will flush with a flushing agent. for these plants i do not have a journal, as these plants are my first foray into both outdoor growing and organic growing. i will do one next time. ill post some pics here in a bit. but yeah in organics i personally dont see much point in flushing mid-grow. the plant still needs a little N even in flower... so why flush it out. no sense in interrupting the soil food web. just my two cents... im sure some other more experienced organic growers might have a different take on it. ive seen subcool mention that he doesn't flush at all with his supersoil. after smoking some hydro grown with heavy-handed nutes in the past, id much rather have as little nutes as possible left in my greenz.

i would be interested to know a rough timeline for how long it might take an active microbial colony in soil to fully digest the general organics products. its hard to say, and im not sure how i would be able to figure out after how long the food source would be 'depleted'.

perhaps i should be feeding every 3 days, not every 6 or 7? think of it like a campfire. why wait until the fire has burned down to just glowing embers, throw another log on when the roaring fire is juuuuust starting to subside to keep it going at full strength. anyone have any insight to this, or ideas on how to determine optimal feeding frequency?
