General Questions about Ace Of Spades

Hi again guys
Im a grower of Pandoras Box for a few years now.
I grew out a few Querkle, loved the high but found the yield a bit low.
Ive been meaning to get Agent Orange since before i got the Pandoras Box.
Finally got round to it, ordered a 10 pack. The seeds arrived today, and its Ace of Spades not Agent Orange.
Ive just emailed the people that i bought it from, will see what happens.

ANYWAY, what should i expect from Ace Of Spades?
Its 50% same parent as Pandoras Box (JTR) and 50% different.
The blurb says it has a Large yield and 70% indica, not much variation in phenos.
It says dont top for SOG, top for height control.

I like to grow 1 plant per 600w light, grow them big and tie them down.
This involves alot of topping (and taking lots of clones cause i find Pandora a bitch to clone)
Do i HAVE to SOG to get a decent yield in Ace Of Spades, or is growing monsters and topping going to be ok?
Is it going to yield similar to Agent Orange, and is it going to have a really cool stand out smell / taste?

Anyone thats grown it out have any opinions?

just wondering about yield now VS Ageont Orange

Hello Dave. I grew out a 10 pack and I can tell you that they yield rather well. But I have not grown out AO. so I can't compare the two. I can tell you that they are right. There are small variations but not many. It's very Indica and gets nice fat buds that have both beautiful color and wonderful smell. Very Tropical Fruit Punch. With a couple having a slight lemon smell. It's a good buzz but a bit to indica for me. It didn't compare to my Vortex or Chernobyl in terms of high. But everyone who sampled them loved it. This time of year the color is unlike anything i've grown before. Some pheno's the leaves are so red/purple it's almost black. If yield is what your after here tho I think your pretty safe. Cheers

gonna fire them up and try my luck

and yeah i know what you mean about too much indica, thats why i stuck with Pandoras Box over Querkle. Querkle was stronger, but Pandoras was more fun.

For the record the people that sent me the wrong seeds are Hemp Depot.
I emailed them and let them know, they responded the next day saying they are sending out the right ones, can i please send the wrong ones back. (trusting that i would do it)
I replied that i had already put 5 in water, so I cant send them back, and not to worry about sending me replacements
He replied that he is sending me the Agent Orange anyway, its all good.
He also apologised for the mistake, human error on his part, it sometimes happens. (happens alot with me!)
Anyway he is a real gentleman and im more than happy with his response to the mistake.

Just wanted to pass on the good reference for Hemp Depot. I have bought from there maybe half a dozen times and this is the first problem ive had, quickly resolved.

I have been looking into Ace of Spades alot,from what I understand there are 2 main pheno's and either one of them would be the the bomb diggidy lol. Try to post up some pics once they get going! awsome on them sending you another pack to.Thats just bonus!!!!!

So if i have 4 seedlings going good, but 1 is obviously taller, stretchier, weaker maybe, does that mean anything? Should i read into that or just keep all 4 going?

Keep it going!!! It could possibly be a male aswell as just a certain phenotype. Just keep it going and see how she/he turns out.Never know it might be the best one in the batch and you woulda just threw it away...never know lol.

I just cut my ace of spades down last night. This was my first exp with TGA gear in my 10ish years of growing exp. I bought two 10 packs as I like to pheno hunt. Actually I bought the second 10 pack after smellng my ace of spades in early flower. I'm happy with the results. Yielded well. Not great this run. But now that I've seen the plant I'll expect to get a great yield next time. I'll be buying more TGA gear. Lived up to my expectations.

so now that you have played with it, whats the story? what would you do next time differently, the same, etc?

Why do people say "TGA gear" when talking about his strains? Doesnt he have a little clothing line called TGA gear?

Well I flowered these from seed. I only gave them like 20 days before I flipped em. So I'll give her a lil more veg time. Mine stayed nice and short. I'm going to try one four topped. I also want to lolly pop her. I think this will greatly help her yield. I always run a strain all natural first. I don't trim anything. I like to see them that way first.

and yes, he does have a clothing line. but nothing to do with the use of word 'gear'

I have 12 plants in my garden all top strains, i have 1 of each except for ace of spades, i have 4

well im taking photos and ill make a grow show when im done.
i hate how when someone posts a grow report over time it gets filled with spam and subbed and me too and what nutes questions and the like.
so when its all wrapped up ill post the whole kaboodle at once.

Its important when trying to compare a pack of seeds, to treat them all them same, scientific method and all that. You likely know that, just wanted to mention it.



If you have 5 seedlings and one is growing completely different, then get used to the idea that it may either be a runt, a male, or a problem. Keep it going, just know that it may have to go. In your case I would guess that its a very heavy sativa pheno, as I don't think plants that young even have sex yet. (Sex in cannabis doesn't seem to differentiate until later on)


The problem is, even if it is a good sativa pheno, these can be problematic indoors, with limited spaces. Keep a close eye on it, and be prepared to control the height through pinching, topping, tying or whatever. Also, clone everything.


Note: I have seen super sativa doms, up to triple in height after the flip, and in a short time.

Same thing. Doesnt bother me if im ready for it, but its tricky when im not
