not really, these things do happen very often, most of the time it is a uniformed police officer, instead of 'neighborhood watch.' This has nothing to do with guns, because a combat knife would be just as deadly or worse in this situation at close combat.

This is big news because yes, its assumed that a black kid is a criminal even if hes just getting a drink, and hes treated like a criminal for having a hoodie.

That I believe is illegal and anyone associated with the threat if carried out can be charged with murder. Premeditated. Florida has the death penalty.

I still think the information isn't really there. The people supposedly seeking justice have quite literally tainted the jury pool with media bias. We're also talking about a state that could only pin perjury charges on Casey Anthony.

My opinion from what I've heard so far, Zimmerman got the shit beat out of him before he even thought about pulling a gun, to the point he was crying out to bystanders to step in and help. It doesn't sound like zimmerman shot the kid executioner style or anything close to that (that I'm aware of) which leads me to believe zimmerman out of desperation and fear for his own life shot the kid. This is my opinion on the information I've heard so far, I can be completely wrong. The information I've been waiting to hear is who threw the first punch.

With that said, had this kid beat Zimmerman to death, would this have been national news or just another statistic? Would people be marching wearing Zimmerman t-shirts? Would we see coverage on the daily show? I highly doubt it, if it doesn't fit an agenda it doesn't matter.

It sucks someone pointlessly lost their life, but if the kid started the physical assault against Zimmerman - he fucked up.

I heard the 911 tape and travon was screaming for help about 6 or 7 times before I heard the gunshot go off . Not to mention he was found face down. So either he was shot execution style or was trying to run away from zimmerman. He should get locked up imo. So should that cop who shot Oscar grant while he was unarmed and in handcuffs .

my thoughts are these. What part of neighborhood watch does he not understand. Its not Neighborhood Confront. He should have left him alone. The cops would have come and everything would have been fine. Its an apartment complex. How can you say that you see someone you don't know that looks "suspicious" if you don't know everyone. Did Zimmerman live in those apartments? Where the break ins he was watching out for happen during the day? Again he should have left him alone.

Was he shot in the back? Don't think thats should be covers under stand your ground.

Zimmerman is Latino.........why are blacks angry with "whites?"
that's my only question. this isn't about race, this is about two people looking for trouble......and finding it. why are black leaders whipping up anger towards whites? go yell at the Latinos.

Since you mentioned it I looked it up and I found one version of the 911 call(Zimermans) but not the one you're mentioning. Any chance you have a link?

It's more of a issue of people using deadly force(abusing power) , when deadly force isn't needed. Its not about race with me .

Thanks, not sure what to think at this point. I'm assuming the voice is the kid because it *doesnt* seem to sound like an adult. Right now based on what I've heard none of it really makes a whole lot of sense. This thing really needs to go to court so all the facts are presented because I really can't picture any of it.
