germin seeds wierd shit happenin

the 2 leaves that form after the taproot formed before it on 1 seed some are taking a while its been 4-5 days now some are showing progress but the taproot isnt finding its way into the riot plugs to start growing up should i turn on the t12 i got or should i wait for them all to get leaves

I say turn on the light, they will open up and reach for it. How do you know the tap root isn't finding it's way into the plug?

i have the top exposed so they know where to go cuz i had the light out and its just not going into the plug on some of them one curled a little bit and i had a little of the plug covering up the hole on one and it stuck to the stem and it kinda looks like its pinched but not quite so Im gonna wait and see with that anyway i dont want to cover any of the other seeds just to prevent that happening again
also some the root part isnt growing much at all and one was even green

Dude. I don't know why so many people insist on fucking up the simplest part of growing. There is no need to mess with a seed during germination at all. You don't need to see it. You don't need it in a paper towel or a glass of water. You say you have plugs? Get the plug nice and moist, place the seed about a quarter inch deep in the center of the plug, cover it up, and LEAVE IT ALONE. Just make sure the pellet doesn't dry out. Keep them under lights from the beginning so that as soon as the cotyledons emerge above the surface of the soil they have light and won't get all stretchy. If they do get stretchy just bury the stem when you put the pellet into a pot.

Sorry man rough day today. But seriously, weird shit won't happen when your germinating seeds if you keep it simple. Mother Nature designed seeds to germinate underground when the warmth and moisture of spring arrives. Just recreate that in your grow room.

and if the seedling doesn't make it then that's natural selection and you probably would have ended up with a runt anyway

You've gotta cover up that seed that's how it goes. you're exposing the root to light and it's just gonna die.

I soak seed overnight in a wet towel before planting. Guerrilla growing in the desert southwest you need every break. The seed hull softens by soaking making the germ of the seed viable and easier to break the hull. The seed only contains so much energy and it doesn't pay to expend it opening. Otherwise I do just exactly like you say. KISS! Not you but . . ..

Needless step growing indoors but habit keeps me doing it.

ok so ill be more specific to what i did and what type of plugs i used... first off i had a shit ton of gram baggies n filled them with water and put the strain inside the water bagy and put a lil air in there left them for a day till they showed signs of life then put them into plug(first i scuffed the seeds up to be porous and easy to break out of) I put them in individual baggies cuz im just using up some of my freebies from the tude mostly autoflowers i only paid for 3 of the seeds i planted so either way im good with what i lose this was mostly a test to see how GH rapid rooter thing works cuz i havent been to pleased with jiffy pellets cuz last 2 times i used them i lost 3 seeds to fuzz. anyhow after they showed signs of life i put them in the hole covered them with particles of the plugs i got from rubbing the top with my thumb so itd be a finer consistancy then the ONE PLANT I REFERED TO EARLIER WITH THE CHUNK THT MAIMED IT i decided to uncover them... all in a pitch black room thats at about 76-82 degrees its an exterior closet i tarped the windows with 10mil reflective canvas shit from home depot and then folded it so its 20mill... WHY I HAVENT TURNED ON ANY LIGHTS BEFORE them all situating themselves... and im only having problems with a few seeds... and I've never had alot of luck in germination other than my miraculous all female out of 8 plants i did last time(unfortunately all tof them got ate by whiteflys and i never got to flower them cuz i couldnt get them under control... wish my mom didnt bring in all them home depot plants i know thats where they came from

anyways Ive harvested a few times and my weed was pretty great

oh and then last time i used plugs i used the a heating pad and fried my seeds cuz i just got that jifffy kit without timer or bs so I'm steering away from heating pads

anyways I know this grow is doomed cuz ive never had any luck with barneys and i have a utopia haze seed thats done and taprooted thru the plug

so i guess ill cover everything up and turn on light thanks
