Germinating Seeds - Half Didnt Take?

Hey guys, quick question. I germinated about 15 or so seeds, and the only ones that took where my big chubby ones. The sprouted within two days which is fast, and those seeds have been growing in soil for 7 days now and look boss. I have 12 smaller seeds that have still yet to germinate, i wonder why this is? Maybe in just jumping the gun but do some seeds take up to 10-15 days to get popping?

Im doing the paper-ziploc method. Thanks guys!

*Could they just be bad seeds? :leaf:

always can just be the seed...in any case yes it could take 10-14 days to pop in wrong or not ideal conditions...i had 15 seeds germed and tap root exposed ...only 5 came up right away....after 7-days i took the cups out and was going to toss them......in short a week later when i finally came around to throwing them away...they popped! i would give a bit more time for them

Peace

Based on Jorge Cervante's book, when 50% of seeds don't take, the shelf life of the seeds are done. If you did everything right, the seeds were done, chose a different supplier.... 15 days to germ, no I have never see that. I have seen 15 days from seed to seedling, but not for the white tail to pop, no.

Keep them going to see, but if you can spare one, try to pinch it, if it is all soggy, kinda like a zit, then it is rotted....
Give then time, I mean no harm in keeping them germing right?
