Usually should see some white "tails" (raticles) coming out of those seeds within 3-4 days. Need to keep those towels moist but not drenched. They MUST not dry out, Too wet and you cutoff oxygen. Expert grow guru Jorge Cervantes suggests letting the seeds float in a glass of distilled water for about 20 hours to activate root hormones before placing them in the paper towels.

Roughly 24-72 hrs. If not "visibly" cracked you can try to crack them with your finger. Take the two ends and just put pressure on them. but be gentle. Do not let the white tap root grow out of it. As soon as you notice it crack, plant it. Plant it tap root down. And wait. After about 2 days you should have a sprout. Dont not plant root facing up, you only do that if your high on crack. Then when it sprouts start your veg cycle. 24 light cycle. 16/8 light cycle or 18/6 light. Mist with spray bottle for 3 weeks, or until rootball is formed. Do not add any nuts for about 5 weeks. even more if you have potting soil with nutes already in it. Then you can do what ever the hell you want. I dont really care

i will soak ceeds in water for 12-24 hours, then place in damp paper towel. i will see a root within 24-36 hours, all others i will give another 24 hours. if not cracked by then, i will scrape the edge or seam of the ceed with the edge of a knife or sand paper, and return to the paper towel. usually within 24 - 36 hours all have popped. sometimes you get a stubborn one that takes longer. after a week i consider a dud.

Scratch the edges of the seeds with a razor be careful not to cut thru the seed and yourself I had a stubborn one that took 8 days to finally show the tap root good luck.
