contribute something someone likes to the websites and they might +rep you. if you piss someone off, they might -rep you.

you can choose to "approve" or "disapprove" of a persons post, and leave a reason why after clicking the icon on the top right of their post.

Based on my experience, 100 points is an additional rep bar, but I could be incorrect as I don't really have enough rep bars to judge;)

how do you get points n go up a grade in rollitup?

Let me see if I can break this down for you.

There is actually more then one points system going on here.

The easiest to explain is the Level/Title. The more posts you have the higher the level/title you get. It seems to start out at 100 posts per level... but as you get higher there are more posts required to get to the next level (I think).

Next there is reputation that is given out by fellow forum members and that affects the Rep Bar (see screen shots below). How much Rep you have determines how much the Rep you give out is worth.

For example... if you get +Rep from a new person you will see that their Rep adds 0 points to your rep. If you get a +Rep from a pretty regular member with some rep you will see you get 3 points per their +Rep. If you get a +Rep from a daily user with a bunch of Rep (Red rep bar) you get 6 points ... .and if you get a +Rep from FDD... well you get like 20 rep points (woo hoo!!)

There are also vb experience points.... and these are factored by a whole shitload of things. These are calculated by the site. I can't begin to explain how they are all added because I just don't know... but if you want to see where you've earned points for what... go to your forum profile and you will see the breakdown. (see screenshot below).

Anyway... that's the 411 on the site points/rep/posts points system(s). If I've got anything wrong, I'm sure someone will come along and correct me.

(MISC. things to note (I used mine for demonstration)

Points breakdown.... found in your Forum Profile. Here's mine:

Lastly.... only a cowardly douche-bag leaves -Rep without signing their name ;)
