What the OP needs to remember, is the Hispanic population was here first. Many Hispanics fought along side the anglos against Mexico in our fight for freedom. When the Republic of Texas became a reality, there were many Hispanics cheering too.
I agree illegal immigration is a problem. They come across the boarder with no health check, which has resulted in a rise in deadly strains of TB, and other diseases. They flood the welfare, school, and free healthcare systems, which has resulted in those systems being stretched beyond reason. (Too many needs, not enough money). The economy is in the toilet, and jobs have been more difficult to obtain, putting more pressure on the unemployed. Tax payers carrying that burden have become disgruntled. (Understandably)
It's a mess.
But in answer to your question Carne Seca. New Mexico sucks...

Ridiculous. Prejudice to the max!! I'm an immigrant here in Barca and no-one here seems to have a problem with me. My Father was an immigrant in London and out-earned most. The Mexicans I know all speak a minimum of 3 languages and one speaks 5-6!!! To be quite frank it's the foreigners who run this city and I know plenty of people outperforming the locals here down to their business skills. No-one I know has had problems here for being successful, however jealousies will arise I'm sure!! Some of these foreigners will be set up for life in the next year or so. The idea that the locals wouldn't want us here is sickening.

They have no problem getting in line.
They do have a problem waiting an average of 18 years simply becuase of the fact that our immigration system has quotas.
Now if they were Cuban they could just come here and become citizens without a visa
and if they were european they could get a visa in less than 8 months
But unfortunatly they are mexican. Thats a 2 decade wait for them legally.

While immigration laws do need to be changed, the reality is the illegal aliens are causing a major economic, health care, and educational crisis in all of the boarder states. The problem is getting worse, with no good answers from the DEMS OR GOP.

I hate to inform you (not really) that if you ever paid any attention, the Mexicans that you cry so much about are some of the hardest working people you will find. And on top of that, How many white people do you see doing the manual (no pun intended) labor that they are usually found doing?I live in Texas and we have a LOT of hispanics/latinos/mexicans here.......and I'm usually not racist but these peeps show no respect for my country! My maids and lawn peeps are hispanic who hardly speak any English and that's just how it is in Texas......while my 'workers' are good, hispanics in general are the cause of issues in my neighborhood. You would assume it's blacks but the hispanics in my area are horrible! Especially now that Holloween is coming! I mean, this area of texas just loves to have candy passed out by rich white folks....in fact, that's exactly what the latinos do on Holloween!.... They drive accross town in many casses to get candy from the wealthy white neighborhoods! Thank God peeps think my neigborhood is to pass up!! Last yr = no kids asking for candy! = bliss!
The way I see it, the so called 'niggers' were born in the USA and have decendants that go way back while these latinos just jump the border and expect America's right's! These peeps don't really care about the USA except for the fact that the poor mexicans aint poor any more since they jumped the border!

The reason New Mexico is next to Texas is because it used to be Texas. Just like Oklahoma and a few other states.
