The gear you have is ample

whats missing is the dimensions/ size this gear works in

and your qualifications to operate it

nail the latter or define subpar

will allow you to sleep with ease

good luck

I have never used all of this at the same time. Hence why I'm here for design ideas to maximize yield the most efficiently
That didn't answer the question though. I didn't ask if you used it all at one time, I asked how many grows you have completed with that setup. In other words, you must have harvested some plants, assessed that your yield wasn't high enough, and then came to ask for advice about how to get more efficiency out of your equipment. So my question is, how many plants (or how many grows) have you completed with the setup you posted in your original post? You would have had to complete at least one grow to make the assessment that you were getting "subpar" results

Yea I don't really think it's design so much as it is experience. Your equipment is good, if you're looking for advice on setup I'd say it's pretty simple with the lights you have, throw however many HPS you can fit in the 8x10 flower room, or you could convert over some to MH or CMH to get a mix spectrum in flower, (1000w covers roughly 5x5ish area), and then use the t5's for your veg room, or you could also covert some HPS to MH or CMH for you veg room. Position fans for best air circulation and away you go. You should be growing pounds in no time

I would definitely consider using the t5's for your small plants, any seedlings, clones, etc., and for your mothers. If you are going to use the MH in your veg I'd probably section off an area for the 400w you have so the plants that were coming from the t5 room (or clone/seedling room) would have a smooth transition in to your veg room. And then you fill out your veg room with another 600 MH's or CMH. Ok, so for the flower room I'd section off an area I had roughly a 4x4 area covered by HPS and MH, and then another area, roughly 4x4, that was straight HPS. My thinking would be start the plants out in the HPS/MH combo, get that early mix spectrum, and then finish them out in the HPS only area to make them think it's really getting to fall with that red spectrum. This is really lose I know but I felt like typing up a rough idea of what my ideal grow room look like with your specs. As anyone will say though experience is key and always keep reading to gain more knowledge of course
