"Girl Scout Cookie" Experiment

man that cookies AND the fucking TANGIE cut both throw MAD nanners... such a bummer of female inbreeding. but damn what resin!!!
your grow looks top notch!!
if you got a good afgani male you might be able to get the hermi tendicys out
Yep Cookies has always been known to throw those nanners. We took the chance and sure enough it did. I had SFV OG that did the same thing. Oh well you grow, learn and move on. Thanks for the tip on Tangie though. I've seen that floating around and I might pass on that one now.

I wish I had a male. But aren't those hard to come by now? Isn't everything pretty much inbred nowadays, Forced hermie to make seeds?

no way is everything inbred.
there are many ways to get a femmed strain to go back to stability according to breeder tom hill and my horticulture books.
one is to breed with a know stable cultivar, or if your into research find a "vic high XX FEMALE" and cross the POLLEN of the cookies to the XX female (XX-is an female that shows no male tendencies even under stress.)
now all that being said I hear BERNER of the cookies crew said via high times (lol) that all the cookies out there not from them are S1 of the real cookies they hold close... IMHO the true story is closer to the one that came 1st: cookies came out of a BADASS Asian comm. grow op . that was a cherry PIE DURBAN OG FUCK UP....whatever its DANK AND ALL IT TOUCHES gets resin to its ears... but the nanners need taming like @RezDog did with the sour d and his IBL....
gani or a strong mexi might do the trick . or cutting at 50 days...

Wow right on for all the info and it makes sense. You bet l will continue researching. Ive had an itch for a long time to it to the next level. lol But Its funny you talk about Berner. I hear his name a lot around here :P. Thanks for clearing up the story.

I forgot to mention we were cutting around 60-64 days and the seeds were mature. The cut we had, Im not sure if they would be ready at 50 days. You would have to sea of green them and cram them to make numbers.

i am just spouting off my bullish . i know nothing for real ... just remember things i hear about the breeding of this GLOrious plant....
grow any (higher) plant for 5+ years and it changes to suit you . my sour and my blue dream are so diffrent from the guys that gave them to me years ago... not better NOT worse JUST me.... my crosses are even more me they are my land too:)

Well you gave me some good knowledge. Which I will remember that is for sure. This girl does change you. I don't live with my grows anymore and missed living with a grow after so many years. :) So I decided to start this adventure to fill the void. lol

It's been a long time but I thought I would bring this thread up to speed with the current status of these girls.

Below is when I transitioned them into a closet and cloned them.

Now this was interesting some of the plants started to turn purple on the outer sides of the leafs during veg.

Here are they are at their current state 4-5 weeks flower. No signs of purple but they do smell lemon :)

Enjoy and I will try and keep this updated more often.
