The gsc is good and stony but nothing that spectacular. The goji I'm smokin on I think is better in taste and buzz but the gsc is really good and unusual. Very dense too. I may have the thin mint cut myself soon :)

GSC is the single most over hyped strain in the history of cannabis. There have always been fads, but never one for so little reason. Blue dream blew up because of the yield. OG blew up because of the combination of potency, flavor, and type of high it produces. GSC blew up because it had a cool name and was hard to get for a while. It tastes really good, but so do a lot of strains. Cherry pie is the better tasting strain IMO. It's potency is very average and yield is average to below average in most cases. The potency and yield differ widely because of all those s1's berner spread across the bay. But in general, it's a pretty average strain.

I started this thread and went on my mission for it because I knew it was about to blow up. I just wanted to cash in. I don't think it's a new superior form of bud. It's good, just not as good as it's made out to be. I like it because it got me hydro prices for my outdoor. That's always a win.

I do really like the flavor and hope a generation of GSC crosses comes out of this.

I learn so much from your posts thank you. Dan this is my year of strain hunting (although I imagine I'll be doing this to some degree for the rest of my life), but I'm trying to expand my understanding. For those of us with access to seeds only (I stay away from dispensaries), what would you buy that might resemble Cherry Pie? I'd love to try that but need seeds from preferably Attitude if you have any ideas I'd love to hear them. If not I understand.

I can't think of anything that resembles cherry pie. It's quite unique.

I don't really order seeds very often. My experience with attitude is that the strains I have access to in Cali are better for the most part. The last seeds I've ordered from attitude that I've really been happy with was Mosca c99. But even then I only used it for breeding. Never end up keeping any of the strains I've ordered, so I just don't order them very often. Basically I only order seeds if I feel like I need a new male.

Thanks Dan you have put in the time and effort it takes to earn that type of stuff. I respect that. Wish I had those connections, LOL. No not actually then it becomes more like work. I figured if anyone knew of something you would.

i disagree with what you said about the cooks, i think it's worth the hype.....but so fucking true talking about buying seeds. no fucking point if you live in cali. plus the majority of the thousands i spent on seeds have not even been popped. I dont even want to. none of those shitty UK knock offs are any good.....of course there are some reputable breeders selling on there but yeah, kind of a waste now. im not a breeder either......Only thing ive ever ran off the tude that i thought was really worth it is THSeeds SAGE and i am still running it 2 years later since finding it

fyi gdp released phantom cookies in seed form....if u want something with some cherry pie in it.....but u want clone onlys you gotta take the time to find them---theyre clone only for a reason----the seed was popped and that's that.

So how do you get an elite or great cut in CA? I've been in CA all my life but the problem is I don't know anyone who smokes pot and the last thing I want is for anyone who I regularly interface with to know that I might. I tried going to 2 dispensaries and oh my that stuff was terrible. I figured if that was their bud I was not interested in the plant that created that. I also worry about bringing a clone in from there because I feel I'd need a quarantine area and I don't know enough about it and I could see seriously hampering my ability to grow here. I know next to nothing about pot or the pot culture. The last time I was connected to it was in the '70s.

So I feel my only option is seeds. That's why dispensaries are important for the people like me. You can at least purchase until you can get your first harvest. I mean seriously HOW do you find it! LOL I really don't know. I struggle in this area and the social area of my life it's frustrating. I am usually able to learn new things but this is not easy. This requires skills I've never had. Ugh, sorry, didn't mean to rant but I'm sure there are others out there who feel the same way (somewhat confused and at a loss).

Yeah that's the real issue I have some fairly severe expressive aphasia issues. When you can't talk or worse say the wrong word when you meant something else it makes that kind of networking tough.

i researched and researched, researched some more, then looked around quite a bit in my area of the bay......all my original cuts came from harborside. I got authentic cuts and fakes...Elite cuts are out there you just have to know what to look for and nobody wants to take the time to do so....not directing that at you c2g just saying generally that is how it is.

Networking too but that is difficult in this game because like dan posted so many people are just trying to cash in while others arent. And the people who are just cashing in dont exactly want to give away their most sought after and most highly demanded product....why would anybody with half a brain do that if it was all business for them? ...so with that said when these cuts are found they are kept close.

I've researched. This just seems to be an area I'm not good in. I can't see the subtle gradations that made a big difference. Further how pot smells and tastes to me is completely different than what is described by others. This is artefact s/p accident. So I can't really go by what the descriptions are.

The other issue is I'm in the South and it's a somewhat different from the North.

Exactly! And that's precisely why I buy seeds. Maybe someday if my skills improve slowly overtime I might be able to start looking but for now with my skills and my very limited ability to talk when I'm out I'm stuck.

Skywalker OG is quite popular around your parts. Check your local weedmaps menus and you'll likely find clones of it somewhere.
