Give flowering plants more hours of direct sunlight?

hey riuers,

i have three girls in the first week of flowering out in my patio -- first time outdoor grow (3rd overall grow). they're currently getting about 7 hours of direct sunlight, and i have the option to shift them a few feet so they would get an extra hour and a half of direct sun in the evening.

should i do it?

i'm thinking yes -- the only concern would be that it could confuse the plants into thinking the days are getting longer. however, the dark period wouldn't change in the new location, so i'm guessing it wouldn't be a problem.

thanks for any input... i'll hopefully be starting a new thread soon for these girlies. the strains are white widow, blueberry, and agent orange. :leaf::leaf::leaf:

peace,

NO, DNT. adding an extra 1.5 hrs of direct sun could cause reveg. i had a plant start flowering the end of june, in an area getting about 5-6 hrs direct sun, decided if i moved it to an area with better sun the buds would fill out rite? so moved it with some of my other plants igetting 7-8 hrs direct sun. it shortly after started revegging, and after about 2 weeks of reveg and debating on moving it back i finally did, and it has since continued budding. not saying all plants will do this, more light sensitive plants are gonna be more prone, but theres still the possibility. ur changing the plants light schedule, not my total number of light hrs, but the amount of light the plants recieving, which is also a significant factor in triggering flower

hey thanks everyone for the opinions. the consensus seems to be to give them the extra sun, so i'm gonna try that today.

Mr.Marijuana420, appreciate your comment too dude, but i think it'll be alright cause the # of dark hours will stay the same. i'll keep an eye out though for any signs of reveg.

here's a quick shot of the agent orange from last week. she's getting more flowery now :weed:
