Glasses to wear as I hack n' slash (harvest) in my tent?

I tried to chop with my lights on, tent zipped up as to quell my fears of neighbors smelling my harvest....but damn that light jacked up my eyes...I ended up sitting half in and half out of the tent.

So I ask, what glasses, if any, can I purchase so that next time I can keep the tent zipped up, with me and the girls inside?? I wanna trim w/o super paranoia (maybe I shouldn't puff beforehand)

Thanks folks

If you can smoke and the neibors don't smell it or care you can harvest out of the tent. But any glasses will help. The best ones have a good UVA UVB rating.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Im not sure if I"ll get the glasses or just a flouro light, seems way easier! :)

Get a pair of Method 7's if you can find a good bargain or afford it. I have retinal problems, and ever since I started using these glasses in my grow room my eye health/problems have been fine. When I first started, and I was only using Polaroid sunglasses, my eyes were twitchy and I could just feel my retina burning up again.

Supposedly they are $200 new, but after going to a few hydroponic stores I managed to bargain for $30. Best buy I have got yet in terms of growing.

So you are afraid they will smell you harvesting, but not growing or smoking the plants?

C'mon, you know how paranoia works. Things that don't make sense.....do when you are "in the moment"

But yeah, the tent is open when I harvested.......when its closed I can't smell shit. Even at the top of my stairs, when I open the basement doors, nothing.

However if i have it open and am working I can smell at top of stairs.........add to that moving the plants around, cutting them and releasing more stink into the air....it just made sense to my paranoid brain!

I'll check on those glasses but I think I'll jsut get some cheap camping lamps and do it that way! Hmmm, I could always move my T5 into the tent to trim under.

Trimming in your tent... lulz... don't you have a bedroom with a closed door you can bring the plants to or something? God, I can't even imagine trying to trim up in a tent. Trimming takes hours. I do it in front of the TV, like 20 feet from the outside door. Fuck it... you must be in an apt. or something I hope??

Nope, a house, not an apartment. A duplex but ya know. I know it takes hours and man, do I dream about doing it near a tv. I got into this game helping a buddy for years, never did we trim in a comfortable situation, never a tv, never a comfy chair....maybe a radio and pizza at best! :) If I can work it out, I'll get a lil' tv and shit for the tent trimmin' time! :)

bang some good music, just dont look up or directly at the bulb.... shouldnt have problems, but ya throw a couple cfls in there even for while you trim. You can get cheap metal domes for cfl's... like $10 a peice, one or two would do ya fine as temporary light while you trim.

Do you have any sort of carbon filter?
I have to agree trimming is a bit more smelly but not much.... but I have a skunk bread strain

FYI, I use welding shades in my grow room while watering, etc. Works well. Get Shade 5 for HID... Shade 3 would be ideal for lower wattage lights.

I've tried trimming in my 5x5 tent before. I feel your pain.
Smell is a big issue in my house - tons of air leaks through the basement walls and ceiling.
After day #1 of doing this I decided to not trim in their anymore.

I have a Carbon Scrubber too - however when you open the tent and start messing with the plants -the house stinks up in minutes.

What I do is -
(1) While inside the tent - Cut down the branches that are mature and trim off the big fan leaves.
(A) This should take 5-20 min per plant depending on their size.
(2) Put the branches and flowers in a large cardboard box and transport to a different room in the house.
(A) Keep the door closed and stick a towel under the door if you need it.
(B) I've tried using duct-tape around the door frame and it HELPS a ton.
(3) I light a ton of incense all around the house. - with a stick near the front door.

Also Remember- dried buds smell less when trimming. If you cut off the large leaves and hang dry. Later you can trim in any room with approximately 40-50% difference in the strength of the smell.
