Mix 30ml of 3% peroxcide with one gallon of water, use this mix to water with until you dont have them anymore.

the best thing i have found to rid yourself of those nasty little buggers is sticky pads you can buy at home depot or lowes. just put it it under your plants and in about two to three days they will all be gone. keep a close eye out tho cause they may rehatch and infest once again. no they will not harm your plants. they are just nusiance pests

From what I understand the adults don't harm your plants but the larva in the dirt will, you can get hydrogen peroxcide just about everywhere, any drug store, wal-mart, doller general, etc...

No most of what is sold is 3% but there is also 5,10, and 20 I believe, also peroxide is not a chemical its just water with an extra oxygen molecule, otherwise known as H2O2.

so technically a lil bit of peroxide water would help without even having a gnat prob considering roots need oxygen....and soil cuts some off

Well if you use organic nutes using it too often can kill of the michorizae which wont be good, but if your using chemical ferts then go for it.
