i discovered i am having a slight gnat outbreak and would appreciate any help on ridding myself of the problem. organic methods preferred. i have neem oil and have heard of a product called Gnatrol. I have never had gnats before so any help would go a long way.

this is a little off topic, for gnat prevention, next time you grow in soil put an inch or two of large coarse perlite on top of the soil, gnats won't bother with it.

neem will kill the gnats, as for their larvae, next time you water add 5 drops of dish soap per gallon of water, it kills them.

Besides being annoying do gnats actually hurt your plants? I mean do they eat the leaves or roots ?
