God damn Mold! Can I make hash?

I cured my buds for about a month, and thought I was in the clear. They are not dense buds, and felt slightly crispy to the touch, but i guess leaving it a week in the jar while i went home for christmas break was too much. there is barely any mold, but it doesnt hardly seem worth trying to cut out the bad parts and risk a respiratory infection.

is there anyway i can make some hash out of this? ill upload some pictures to get an idea of how extensive the mold is

edit: god damn this sucks. i had 2 plants, and this jar contained an entire plants crop. cant remember, but i think i enjoyed this phenotype better, but i still have about 1.3 oz left that didnt get mold, so im ok with it. just wont be sharing it as much and not selling any of it.

im just going to make super duper brownies. i dont want the hassle and worry of making hash and if i managed to get all the mold out or not. i figure ingesting a little mold isnt a big deal, correct?

could i do a slight combination of the hash/cannabutter process? im thinking i could wash the buds with iso alcohol to kill off the spores, collect the washed off keif, and then add cooking oil and bake it.

anyone have reason to object to this?

if u really want to smoke it, u can put it in the oven really low for a few mins. I believe any temp above 150* will kill it. The bud will dry out but u won't get sick. i did this a week ago and no probs

bah.. smoking it would give you a little bit of a cough for a day or two.. barely anything.. little cobweb feeling in the lungs.. and it goes away.. *shrug*

personally, im not too upset it happened, since being sober most of break made me realize i need to smoke a lot less, so losing some of my crop isnt the worst thing in the world. i will end up with brownies that will for sure take me to the moon though. ive never cooked an ounce before, let alone of legitimate kick ass buds

if you wipe, rub or dip any alcohol on it you will lose potency and chrystals would be my guess

no, just make honey oil or cannabudder. but you can just cut away the affected area and smoke the rest. late

Alcohol/Butane is a solvent. If it touches the weed, it will "melt" the THC but prob kill the mold too. If you were to make cannabutter, simmering your mixture might kill the mold. Either way you can try a method and you might make some good stuff. If you mess it up, you still got the good stuff left! good luck

boiling it would raise it above the supposed temperature i spose.. this is the one way i never used to do really..., although i did make gumby hash once and slowly boil it off. id say it worked coulda been better though " i got bubblebags now and i used to think i ade hash untill i got them, now i make hash dude. its the best way

umm does extreme cold kill the things in mold cos then icewater or butane may work "butan more than likely better if cold does kil the shit..

if you dont mind ingesting just make hash or some oil (hash prefferably) and eat it

lol I got molded a bit the other month and freaked out. Here's what I did...
- Mixed white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide (50/50) and I dunked the moldy buds for 1 second.
- Oven for 200 degrees F (I hate the fuckin' oven when it comes to buds) until dry-ish.
- Water cure for 5-7 days. This might take out any aflatoxin, mold spores, and some dead mold still hangin' around. It takes out the moldy taste, I know that much for sure. Also, the peroxide + vinegar mixture made a terrible smell after bein' cooked in the oven, so that stuff has to be washed off.

The other guy took his share of the pot, and did not treat it this way, and magically he had some sort of respiratory infection a couple weeks later.

i guess if you smoke mold its possible that youll get a respitory infrction......im no expert but id smoke that shit...that lil tiny amount of mold......just trim it good and smoke it dont be a wussprolly just on the outside of the buds from pressing against the glass.
